True story - one of the earliest detections of antimatter "in the wild" was the annihilation of electrons with positrons (characteristic gamma wave frequency detected by early warning satellites - that's also how they discovered neutron stars) caused by energetic lightning storms.

I wonder if ball lighting is perhaps a collection of electron-positrons rotating about each other, with the annihilations providing energy and pushing the greater mass of the positronium (electron-positron pair unstably balanced by the Pauli exclusion principle) cloud apart to limit annihilations?
