These grifters always hit platforms that are trending - back 10 or so years ago I was getting spammed by Linked-In shit. Since then, I don't do globohomo social media megacorps, so I don't get a lot of spam from there.

Phone scams have dropped off - now it's text scams. Jumk mail and email spam are all either business or gubment election related.
