This from the Howard Jarvis newspaper called TAXING TIMES: "A recent series of articles by the Los Angeles Times document the squandering of tens of millions of taxpayer dollars by the LA Community College District in their $5.7 billion construction program. In one instance, $39 million was spent for a project that was later abandoned. Then there was Solyndra, a California solar panel manufacturer that went belly-up after receiving more than a half billion dollars in federal loan guarantees. Adding insult to injury, California lawmakers provided Solyndra with nearly $25 million in sales tax exemptions. [This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of incompetence]

Almost every day, at every level of government there is a new violation of taxpayer's trust. These examples illustrate that the government operates on a different standard than private businesses. The reason mismanagement and outright larceny are less common in the private sector is that those businesses that tolerate these practices go out of business. To survive, companies have an incentive to set reasonable standards of efficiency. Government officials, on the other hand, lack this incentive. When things go wrong, they don't go out of business, they raise taxes. Incompetence and dishonesty by those receiving a paycheck from taxpayers should not be tolerated under any circumstances".

This, and countless other examples of government waste, fraud, mismanagement, incompetence, theft and misrepresentation is what is upsetting to those who pay taxes.

Ron Paul is not a candidate, he is a cause!
