Dear patrick.net peeps, this is a post on brainwashing and picking the right information sources to navigate the abundant and diaphanous crap that exists in the media.

Here’s a list of my plug in’s: patrick.net, dollarcollapse, King World News, Mish’s, Yahoo Finance, democracynow, Bloomberg, The Automatic Earth, ZeroHedge, LATimes, NYTimes, the BBC and CNN.

I wonder if I’m getting a round perspective of the world today? I crave impartial news/thought with the least amount of agenda.

What news sources or blog spots do you trust and which do you hate? I don’t necessarily want an antidote to feeling the game is rigged and the future is dark and scary, I just want the truth.

Any thoughts?

Stress sales, it used to be Sex. But now everyone is sexy, and if anyone want's to get their freak on, just you only have to log into a website. Jessica Alba does dick all to sell a product.
But companies can issue a press release, stating that the world will end if you don't buy their product, and then pay News outlets to spread the misinformation as whole truths.

The more bombardment of depressing news, of turmoil and uncertainty, the more edgy folks get for comfort. The news also tells you there's comfort in buying to your heart content. Even if it's only 3 easy payments of 19.99, it will make you feel better.

Now put on your Snuggy and go chop your Nuts with a Slap Chop.

It's all bullshit, all the way down.

you want honesty, pull the ethernet cable, turn off the wifi router, and contemplate the cosmos in a quiet place.

even if we could escape into the light, it wouldn't matter. Events are proceeding apace, and there's zippo we can do to alter the course.

We're all passengers on this ride.

I don't know how this man managed to NOT break every finger on his hands, his attack is the most awkward style of playing the keys, ever.

I really like FOREIGN news sources when they report about America. Makes me think I might get to read something that the US news sources won't tell me.

The foreign sources tend to be hard to find though, because Google mostly links to US sources if you're in the US.

Lots of British sites have opinions you don't hear over here, and I must say Al Jazeera is actually pretty good too.

Here's the guy that inspired me to buy a Hammond B3 and learn the keys, even though my instrument has always been guitar.

Okay, I get it! Old funky music is the antidote! Love where this thread went.

Al Jazeera, right, I'll check that out. But, will I still be able to board planes? I don't really want to be indefinitely detained.

GameOver says

Max Keiser: Keiser Report.

Oh ya, Max Keiser's the best!

No love for King World News, eh? Yes the interviewing format is predictable, and yes Mr. King and all his interviewees are bullish on metals, but I really enjoy their analysis of the world. Of course, they're all rich and heavily invested in metals so of course they want gold/silver to go to the moon, but I enjoy it, especially what's his name... the English guy... Nigel Farage! He's super entertaining!
