Just curious as to what ya'll's pets look like. Here are some of mine (there are more, just don't have pics I can find at this moment:

This last one is the smartest dog you'll ever meet. She has her BA in Liberal Arts from an on-line university based on her life experiences. Cost me $30...

Show me your critters!

Seriously? Might be fun to post a picture of her diploma, to mock the place that granted it to her.

I've heard that there's a dog (Australian shepherd?) that is smart enough to know which words it doesn't know. So if you put out a collection of 5 objects and the dog knows 4 of them, and then tell the dog to go get the (nonesense word), it will always pick the new object to go with the new word.

Sweet Pea on the left, Pickles right. Sweet Pea stopped chewing his feathers after Pickles moved in.
My Daughter had us birdysit her parakeet while she went to college. We named him Birdbrain. I was amazed to learn they are playful, affectionate, diplomatic etc. That little pea sized brain taught mine volumes. I thought someday I would write a book titled "Beak People". Recent studies have shown referring to them as "birdbrains" is a misnomer.

Alex , An African Grey Parrot among other things, Forms his own sentences. They are NOT just mimicking or Parroting

Byte the Cat. (Yes I named my kitty after a unit of computer memory/storage)

That one isn't mine - it's a hummingbird that flew into a window & I picked it up to keep it safe from cats. It took a couple of minutes to reorient itself - then it perched on my finger for a good minute. We had a lovely time, until it remembered that it hated me due to my being human and all - and flew away. It was awesome!

She's so awesome, she's getting solicitations in the mail offering her master's with no effort:

Silly,,,,Looks like you intimidated everyone who has pets with no credentials.

They went to the duck storage area.

FYI the dog in the first pic (with the bandana) has played ball nonstop for the past 3 hours - he brings it, I toss it with one hand whilst holding the other on the keyboard... he's bucking for a ball enema. Won't be pretty.

c'mon, ya'll. post your critter photos.

OK, here are our two top chickens, Domino on the left, and Waffle on the right.

Domino is the dominant chicken, and looks sort of like a domino. She's very friendly and smart. Waffle is slightly bigger, but is definitely second in command. There are two other chickens too, Anoush and Fandango, but they are, well, chicken, and ran away from me and the camera.

Wait, actually one of them is right behind the fence. You can see her feet.

What type of chickens are they?

Chickens have types? I mean other than fried, deep fried, and turducken.

I had white leghorns, aracanas (sp?), barred rocks, rhode island reds and several others. my favorite was a barred rock who would run across my yard and stop suddenly - then roll like a bowling ball. Kept her (and us) amused for hours.

Eschew Obfuscation

Domino is a Dutch bantam, Waffle is uncertain, and the other two are Old English game bantam.

They're probably all equally tasty, but my wife and kids won't let me test that.

I'd love to see a chicken roll like a bowling ball.

They probably are too gamey after living so long - next time buy chicks, put them in a teeny box and over feed them. Then kill them & eat 'em.

yum

Did you have KFC on your breath ?

Those are amazing photos - the hummingbirds I know avoid humans like the plague.
