Yes, out of the gate when China recently opened up to "capitalism" they started out right away with crony capitalism. Where as, we took a long time, first improving and then degrading, very gradually over the last several decades becoming more debt, leverage and crony capitalism based.
All but one of China's fortune 500 companies is state owned. This isn't even a discussion that you can have seriously.

There is a big misconception in the United States and around the world that the Economy of the United States is free market capitalist. Is communist China more capitalist than the United States that is capitalist in name only?
