Also, the "quotes" are unclear when you are reading them. There should be a box aroundthe m or some visual indication that it is a quote.
Remove "share" buttons.
I would like a feature that displays who has me set on 'ignore'.

Yes. And who the devil would have Patrick on ignore?
Maybe a better idea is to rescind ignores by users that were outed as bots or otherwise banned.
I worked hard for my "ignores". I wanna keep 'em.
... but yeh, knowing who did it would provide some humor.
Remove "share" buttons. They are stupid and should never be used; everyone can already copy links, and does so if they want to send a web page to someone.
The "quote" button is not always functional. Which is very bad when reading a topic with 500 posts over the course of 7 years, when you hit the "quote" button to a new tab for everything you want to reply to. And then it's gone and now you don't have people posting because many people don't want to read the entire hours-or-days-long thread a second time to get the posts they want to reply to back. Except that just now, the "quote" button didn't even work when I just pressed it (without opening in a new tab).

How should I do quoting?
I think this would contribute to the problem that kills forums: personal insults.
There would be the temptation to personally insult the person ignoring you.

What's the difference between insulting someone who is ignoring you vs not?
Both are not allowed anyway.
"Sure, just click "edit" under the title. There should be an edit link for you for
any threat you start."
My bigger question is what 10 people did I personally insult to warrant an ignore
"Question: If you started a thread, is it possible for you to go back and edit the title?"

Patrick: I don't see an edit under the title. What am I missing?

"The_Deplorable Is the post more than a week old? I have a rule in
the code that a thread more than a week old cannot be edited or deleted. Maybe I
should change that."
The goal is to argue about issues we might be able to influence instead of attacking each other personally. From 20 some years of doing this, I know that personal insults are instant death for productive debate.
