Big thumbs up from me!

I didn't read the comics as a kid. So cannot address the "purity" of the movie.

But it was great fun to watch! Particularly the big showdown at Cuba.

Mrs. Vicente likes Magneto (Fassbender) and would watch it again just to see him.

I've only seen the one where Capitan Picard dies, but I liked it.

They kept the story fairly close to the comics but some of the ages are out of whack. Ice Man (Bobby Drake) was one of the original five X-men, but is a younger student in the movies (not even in "First Class")...not complaining about that, though.
