Frontpage needs to highlight good content instead of random firehouse of posts

Patrick,

You are giving prime placement on front page to the latest random posts under "All Forum".

I think this is a mistake since alot of the posts are garbage. I don't think you want people to see brand new posts from random threads to be the first impression they have of patrick.net. Not even tumblr.com is this chaotic.

Example of slickdeals.net, they highlight frontpage deals on the right, and upcoming deals/threads, and popular threads on the left. You don't see individual posts on the frontpage. Most of what you see on the frontpage of slickdeals.net has been upvoted and is more likely to attract someone's attention, and more importantly, not be turned off because they saw some useless information/garbage posts.
