Racism? Are liberals insane? One third or Americans are already on some type of welfare...and if you narrow it down to adults only, its 50%. Just what the liberals want.

Great indentured voter base for the Democ Rats, wouldn't you say? Voting now has zero to do with merit, but ONLY with how to keep them welfare checks rollin' in.

Maybe right wingers think of it this way: They like winners.

In their over simplified perception of; Republicans represent the interests of the rich, and Democrats represent the interests of the poor, it's no contest for them, they're going to go with the winners, not those loser poor people.

Also, obviously either Abe is incapable of comprehending this, or just doesn't want to comprehend it.

At issue is the administration’s decision last month to consider granting waivers to states that seek more flexibility to run the federally funded program. Republicans immediately accused the administration of looking to weaken the work requirements, prompting a letter from Health and Human Services Secretary Katherine Sebelius, who defended the change as a way to move more enrollees off welfare and into jobs “by utilizing state-based innovation.”

States have to apply for the waivers, and Sebelius wrote that waivers would only be granted to states that move at least 20 percent more people from welfare to work. States also must demonstrate “clear progress toward that goal” or their waivers could be rescinded. In return, states get some relief from some of the administrative requirements of the law.

Administration officials noted that in 2005, 29 Republican governors – including then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney – requested similar authority.

“Perhaps (Romney’s) argument is with his past self,” White House spokesman Jay Carney suggested.

Sebelius said the waivers those governors were proposing were “very far-reaching” and went beyond what the administration now would sanction. But she said that the governors of Utah and Nebraska – both Republicans – have more recently requested waivers.

Never heard of dog whistle racism before. But I get it. Only racists appreciate the message that others wouldn't even detect.

You guys know, it's STILL a goddamn Chicken sandwich right?

Marcus, the libs pretend to represent the interests of the poor, when in fact their policies are designed to keep people indentured and dependent upon a "benevolent" government.

Its real simple to figure out. Liberal, left leaning, socialistic politicians don't want to "teach people how to fish". Liberal politicians want to be viewed as the caring ones: "we're the ones GIVING you fish...if we didn't GIVE you fish (welfare) you would DIE.

If Liberal politicians really cared about people they would have policies which "teach people how to fish" (to be self sufficient, independent, etc) which would free the indentured voters so they would no longer NEED liberal politicians, oops - and the slimy liberal politicians would lose all their power to control and manipulate their voter base...and they sure as hell don't want that.

Control, dependence and welfare = liberal mentality.

Freedom, independence, and self-sufficiency = libertarian mentality.

Its pretty clear, isn't it?

Romney stop blowing that whistle, the dog's on top of the car.

Just finished researching & found that there aren't Conservatives, Republicans, or Teabaggers receiving any type of government support. They are truly great Americans in that they don't need any social programs.

The unemployment rate in my hyper republican stronghold midwestern rural hometown hovers around 20%. Everyone there thinks Obama is the great satan prophesized in Revelations (never mind they're usually confusing Nostradamus with the bible). Being that the name of the county is "Clinton County", every year the yokels lobby the state to allow them to change the name to something proper and nobel instead of having to suffer such indignity.

When Congress considered ending unemployment benefit extensions the town practically rioted. The protesters on the courthouse lawn held up big anti-Obama posters as they stood in front of the old civil war cannons, cigarette and beer in the other hand.

If you cannot see the tragedy in this picture and you consider yourself a Republican, then you're part of the reason that true capitalists and lovers of free market and progressive commerce think you guys are all batshit crazy.

Honest Abe says

Can a person be this....ummmm

Obviously we are going to have some safety net or whatever you want to call it. We're already out of control with how many people we have in prison.

And the fact is families can't live well enough on $8 to not need food stamps too. Yes of course we have a system with two parties, one always trying to make the safety net smaller (even at the risk of more expensive prison), another side that is advocating against the safety net being too small.

SOmehow you twist this in to liberals are bribing people for their vote with food stamps. THese people want to continue living large on the government tit, with their awesome survival benefits (which do of course get cycled back in to the economy).

I still say you're a democrat posing as a right wing dim bulb. I just don't believe you're as demented as you want everyone to believe.

Sorry Marcus, my take on things is kinda how they are. And yes the country needs a safety net - but thats not what I was talking about. I was talking about the overall mindset of liberal politicians, you know, keeping the status quo, keeping voters indentured, for political power. Thats pathetic, wouldn't you agree?

BTW, every time you, or any other liberal, resort to name calling, personal attacks, and throw around subjective slogans (racist, homophobe, teabagger, etc, etc, etc) you lose 100% credibility.

Its kinda like - really? is that all 'ya got???
