We are free to establish a new order, a new party, a new government. Nothing is stoping us from doing so but ourselves. The government establishes its "authority" by the consent of the governed.
Do you consent?
To see/hear what so many people say and write these days, it seems they are seeking to persuade everyone that the democrats/republicans are are the scum of the earth, illiterate uneducated mindless idiots who deserve nothing but scorn. Depending on how your mind has been programmed you typically think democrats or republicans are essentially insane.
This of course implies that the only sane alternative is the "opposite" party, "your" party, or the party you are sympathetic towards or at least claims to be sympathetic to you. How would it sound to you if we just eliminated the "opposition?" I mean what advantage does as this endless bickering give us, can't we as Americans move on?
No doubt many of you, perhaps even a majority would be happy if the democrats or republicans didn't exist. So I ask you, how many political parties do you think we should have?
