I thought he would be a formidable (R) candidate for 2016 and wondered WTH Obama was doing appointing him to CIA.

If the admin knew about the affair then that civil appointment was absolutely stellar quasi-dirty bank-shot politics.

Petraeus would be relatively safe inside the Army, but going civil he's more exposed to FBI background checks.

And D/CIA was an 'offer he couldn't refuse' LOL.

Eh? There was a funeral, I recall the President and the Sec. of State were there. Every TV in the SFO SkyClub had it on.

The media knows that the public enjoys their propaganda with a good dose of sexual intrigue heaped on it. Nothing new really.

The story and all of it's sexual overtones is apparently better than exposing what really is the reason for Petreus being shoved out to pasture.
