A suburban New York City newspaper said they will publish more names and addresses of residents holding gun permits even as critics fear the newspaper’s decision will put non-gun owners at risk from criminals.
Both major parties are wholly responsible for this. The fundamental problem is that in America, we the people have no right to privacy. We used to. It was an assumed right because it was so basic and obvious that no one even questioned it. The founding fathers fucked up by not making this obvious necessity an explicit right because no one even thought of violating it.
Fast forward 200 years and the government thinks it's completely OK to rip your clothes off by force and probe your ass, vagina, and any other orifice even if you have committed no crime. Until we have a Constitutional amendment that strongly protects the right to privacy -- something that would end the TSA and similar agencies -- this problem is only going to get worse.
So blame the left all you want, Captain, but your right wing nuts led the charge to eliminate all privacy in this country. You have no one to blame but yourself for the lack of basic privacy and human dignity in our society.

Privacy and safety is a tradeoff. Most people are willing to give up some privacy in exchange for safety. The founding fathers could not have foreseen a world of aeroplanes, nuclear weapons, and crazy suicide bombers. If they had, they would have made safety a top priority.
The solution is to ensure the government does not misuse rules that infringe on my privacy like making sure my balls don't get grabbed at the airport by a pervert.

Those Libs should be proud of them selves. NY will now have concealed, concealed permits. Kind of a wrong knee jerk response if you ask me. A better suited law, would be while anyone is free to request information. They are not at liberty to publish or reproduce that information in any way. You may feel free to post it or share that single hard copy as much as you want, as long as it is the original, while you are not allowed to make copies. But you may not post it on websites, or publish information in news papers.
But I guess it was too hard of a stretch to make that connection.
