This study conclusively demonstrates that unfounded fear of government is a recognizable mental illness, closely related to paranoid schizophrenia. Anti-Government Phobia (AGP) differs from most mental illnesses, however, in that it is highly infectious and has an acute onset. Symptoms include extreme suspiciousness, conspiracy-mongering, delusional thought patterns, staunch "us against them" mentality, withdrawal from reality, and often religious fanaticism. Having the patient committed to a qualified mental health institution is the best option for family and loved ones. For this reason, all psychiatrists and family physicians should be provided with educational materials which will help them recognize the various symptoms...

Stalin and Hitler had the same idea too, if you didn't love their big government, than you were sick, and needed to be put into the death camp or gulag.

Why would you even suggest that citizens would face off against tanks? Like that is a possibility???

Wait, oh yeah.... There was Waco.

Not exactly the kind of thing any of us wants to see ever again.

What will the next crisis be and why would our government ever need to behave that way?

The government already behaves like this on a daily basis. Ever seen a raid on a raw dairy farmer who was "not in compliance" with the crony FDA laws? Did you see the military style raid on kim.com (founder of megaupload) on his family's house in NZ?
I think too much trust in the government is a mental illness and a sign of lazyness.

Shouldn't he of titled it Government phobia?

A phobia is a fear of something, so anti-government phobia, would be the irrational fear of all these "well educated" statists smuggards that blame tea party people for everything that's wrong all the time.

How sad is your life if you can claim to be a victim of the actions of the dumb motherfuckers that watch fox news?

I claim to be victim of the politicians you dumb motherfuckers are putting into office.

The two Bush wars cost this country thousands of lives, $1.5T of past costs over the previous decade-plus and about that if not more over the next few decades.

Unrestrained free trade and our strong dollar policy has eviscerated the socio-politics here, increasingly making this place a country of haves and have-nots.

Conservatives getting things deregulated in the 1990s and then letting their business buds run free in the 2000s resulted in the US running up a historic debt leverage ratio:

Conservatism has fucked my country, and I'm not entirely sure things are fixable now.

I don't know how you people can live with yourselves

Reading the title of this thread, I initially thought it was about people who either had a fear of people who had a fear of government or about people who had a fear of being anti government. Shouldn't it just be called government phobia?
