The U.S. Government has finally responded to the "Death Star" petition submitted to its "We the People" website. The petition, which was submitted on November 14th, tries to persuade the government to build a 'Death Star' by 2016. For the uninitiated, Death Star is a fictional, moon-sized space station that is capable of destroying planets with a laser beam. It appears in the Star Wars series of movies.

An here I was thinking on submitting a petition to amend the Constitution to ban torture. But that's not kewl enough to go viral.

Pretty sure Ron Paul was the only person who brought up that issue.

Actually Dennis Kucinich also opposed the Patriot Act. He and Ron Paul work together often even though they are on opposite parties and have polar opposite economic views. Nevertheless, they are friends and cooperate on human rights and civil rights issues.
