Ha! Good stuff!!! I like this one....

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Obama Inauguration. 20 Jan 2009

Wow!

This would be really interesting to see for previous presidents over time. I'm quite surprised that he's doing so well.

35% of promises kept seems low to me! Especially since many of his broken promises could have been kept by a simple order from him. Not legislation in many cases, just an order.

What about that net spending cut we were supposed to have?

Hey....what happened with this?

“When there’s a bill that ends up on my desk as President, you the public will have five days to look online, and find out what’s in it before I sign it.” ~ Barak Obama

"Obama signed an amendment to expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program, the second bill to cross his desk, hours after it was passed by the House. Although Obama did not wait the promised five days after passage, the White House did post the legislation online three days ago, after it was passed in the Senate."

I seem to remember him promising to close Guantanamo Bay. Didn't he say that? I could of sworn he said that.

Pheeew...I was worried I was wrong about that. It's ok everybody, I checked, and yes he did say that.

"In one of his first acts as commander in chief, President Obama in 2009 signed an executive order to close the U.S. detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

It was part of a campaign promise the president made, to close the camp and "determine how to deal with those who have been held there." But four years on, the controversial prison remains open."

Abandoning the rule of law by not prosecuting any of the bankstas deserves impeachment. No need to tally up broken promises.

Yes, but...

Remember the complete euphoric high people were on when the 2008 presidential election results came in? Remember how "giddy" with hope the populace was with Obama's mantra of hope and change? Obama was selling miracles and citizens were buying.

CNN was offering inaugural T-shirts that read "Obama raises hand, lifts nation".

Susan Sarandon said, "He's a community organizer like jesus was. And now, were a community and he can organize us."

An inauguration in the London Times was headlined "The New World".

"One Giant Step for Mankind" was another inaugural headline from England's Sun Newspaper.

This trail of broken promises is a reminder to all Americans how much a politicians commitments are worth. Some people never learn though. It won't be long before some forum members are making excuses, defending, and apologizing for Obama's failures and lies.

Yeah, I actually welcomed his election as well and still think it was an important milestone to elect the first black prez or first woman (if Hillary won), but from the election night 2008 that wecome went steadily downhill ;)

Obama has done than any President I can think of to put the United States on a path to energy independence, banking reform, financial market reform, sustainable employment, world peace, and prosperity.

If you don't like what he's done change it. Vote for another guy. Talk to Congress, who has been conveniently left out of this Wayne's World, news fantasy.

I mean if you have something to say, say it yourself, and leave the unAmerican propoganda to Moscow.

22   David Losh   2013 Jan 23, 10:55pm

Guantanamo Bay is my favorite set of lies in what you presented here.

Obama wanted to bring the detainees here, to New York even, to have those prisoners tried in our court system. It just couldn't be done, no one would allow it. It would mean giving these prisoners rights in our court system. OMG!!!!!!!

If the prisoners were brought here George Bush Junior, and Dick Cheney would also be open to investigation, and probably subpoenaed.

He can't close the base because no one will take the prisoners, or the United States won't allow those prisoners to leave.

Most right thinking Americans recognize the problem of Guantanamo Bay and are thrilled to have Obama cornered. We'll see what happens, but the only solution is to try these people in open court, with rights, as Obama has suggested.

You know Nixon claimed he made legislation that put America on the path to energy indepndance. What is it now, 40, 50 years later?

Every President since Nixon has put us on the path to an energy independent future, just ask THEM.

1. Obama can't run for a third term.
2. When voting in this country, you always vote for the lesser of the two evils. As bad as Obama is, Republicans keep nominating people who would be worse.

Energy independence? There is no such thing as "energy independence" while we have free trade. Oil, natural gas, coal, and other commodities can be used anywhere in the world. Therefore, the price is set by the equilibrium created by global supply vs. global demand.

20,000 Airstrikes in the President's First Term Cause Death and Destruction From Iraq to Somalia.

Signed the NDAA into law - making it legal to assassinate Americans w/o charge or trial.

Initiated, and personally oversees a 'Secret Kill List'.

Waged war on Libya without congressional approval.

Started a covert, drone war in Yemen.

Escalated the proxy war in Somalia.

Escalated the CIA drone war in Pakistan.

Maintained a presence in Iraq even after "ending" the war.

Sharply escalated the war in Afghanistan.

Secretly deployed US special forces to 75 countries.

He's done a fine and dandy job, which is all the more incredible seeing as how one party decided to play games and obstruct any and everything he did. He certainly has done a much better job than his predecessor and seeing as how the GOP seems to becoming the party of weird, bizarre, and outdated logic, better than anyone they would stick in the white house.

Finally someone else on this site who criticizes Obama for legitimate reasons. Usually we just hear from mindless Republican fanboys who bitch about Obama being a secret Kenyan Muslim socialist who's banning all guns so that the government can enslave the white man.

It's refreshing to hear someone besides me bitching about the real evil Obama has done.

Let's add to the list the drone strikes against innocent children. Obama deliberately targeted and killed a group of children in Afghanistan because the father of just one of the kids was a pro-"al Qaeda" reporter. The father, who broke no laws and harmed no person, was already killed in another drone strike two weeks earlier.

So, first the Obama administration murders a reporter who reporting things the administration didn't want reported. Then the Obama administration murders that reporter's son, who had nothing whatsoever to do with the news along with several other children while they were eating dinner. None of the kids had ever harmed anyone.

That's pretty fucking evil. But as long as some asshole, Robert Gibbs, slanders the victims by calling them terrorists, it's ok. Robert Gibbs should be blown up by a drone along with his children. I heard he's a terrorist from the mothers of some dead children in Afghanistan.

I don't need to write a dissertation on Obama's lies, broken promises, and hypocrisy. His own statements and track record are something you can't dismiss, unlike something written by me.

Also, I didn't realize it was propaganda to show the truth, and unAmerican to disagree with Obama.

Obama is black Bush. He's Bush's third term. Plain and simple. Obama has double down on every evil policy of the Bush administration. Just because he is black and a Democrat doesn't make him at all different from Bush. Race and party don't matter. Policies matter.

Don't forget, these drones will soon be flying over our heads!

"The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) established 6 national drone test sites where the unmanned planes could fly through civilian air space.
President Obama signed the FAA Modernization and Reform Act in February of this year, demanding that the FAA “integrate operation of drones” into National Airspace by 2015."

In addition to drone strikes, a rise in illegal (warrantless) wiretapping and the NDAA Obummer also trumped Bush in federal raids on Marijuana dispensaries across the nation, Bush left the states pretty much alone on that one. The federal drug laws are unconstitutional if a state chooses to legalize and I wish the local Sheriffs would stand up for that as well (and refusing to illegally search, frisk and wiretap without warrants), not just for the 2nd amendment, but also the 4th and 5th and so on.

If you are pissed at Obama you must be livid with the GOP:

Obama deliberately targeted and killed a group of children in Afghanistan because the father of just one of the kids was a pro-"al Qaeda" reporter

Let's compare that to the shock, and awe of our Iraq attack, or the soldier who went house to house killing women, and chlidren.

Number one though, is that Obama never deliberately attacked woment, and children with a drone attack. Obama has changed the face of war to cut down on killing women, and children.

This is a war on terror, and I for one am very pleased Obama has targeted Terrorists.

People get killed in war. A lot of people get killed in wars, but the war we are fighting right now is far superior to anything we have seen in decades, if not centuries.

Obama has changed the face of war.

Let's take North Korea today. They want to do nuclear tests and test rockets capable of reaching the United States. Is that a good use of any country's resources today?

In my opinion we should spend much more time on the building economic relations in Asia than saber rattling North Korea.

Go figure Obama has already started doing that. North Korea is talking with South Korea economically rather than fence watching.

If you are really conerned about the Middle East or Somalia, I'd suggets you go there, and see what your up against. Most fat Americans think it's easy to stroll into countries that have been at war for thousands of years and show them a thing or two. They just laugh at us. Obama? They aren't laughing so much at Obama, like they did with Bush, or Cheney, or Dick Nixon.

Now Reagan, there was a guy with a plan, and I deeply appreciate what Reagan did for the world.

Obama has changed the face of war. It will never go back to what it was.

HR347 didn't happen?

"Our ruling

Napolitano said the law was signed "in secret." But the path of H.R. 347 to the president's desk was very public.

It was introduced in public, discussed in public, voted on in public, and then signed the same way as most bills. The White House says it posted the bill on its web page for legislation awaiting the president’s signature.

It’s true that there weren't cameras present, but if they had been, what would they have captured? That Obama signed the bill. That fact was announced by the White House the same day in a statement sent to thousands of journalists.

There may be legitimate reasons to question whether the law infringes on constitutional rights. But there were many occasions during its public consideration when critics could have questioned lawmakers and the White House about the law. We rate the claim Pants on Fire."
