Ha yeah my wife and I are going to a few this afternoon too. It'll be fun to see the fervor. Too bad there won't be any free cookies...buyers probably have to supply their own in this market.

I have noticed a significant uptick in open houses in my neighborhood as well. Looks like some are getting giddy to unload again.
Here in San Antonio, Realtor's love to use Open Houses to fish for new suckers.
"You don't have a buyer agent? Let me help you. No charge."
I just noticed this today. The Palo Alto papers seems to have an awful lot of ultra-expensive houses suddenly on the market.
Higher prices will certainly bring more homes to market. A sucker for every season.
Too bad I don't speak Mandarin, I'm curious to know what the other visitors were saying. My wife wasn't really paying attention so she couldn't tell me. She's heard an instance where the (overly excited) people were talking about "getting the money on the airplane" lol, and a couple of other cases where the people decided to not buy it because they saw Mexicans mowing lawns or other non-white/non-yellow types in the neighborhood.
For fun, you should have one of your black dude friends pretend he's your wife's husband and visit open houses frequented by FOBy Chinese. They will be extremely uncomfortable with that pairing.
I see tons of open houses in Santa Clara county this weekend.
Every one is asking ridiculous price for their house. I'm going to bid on couple of them as they placed it low ball. I'm sure they will receive tons of offers and mine will be at the listing price not a dime more.
Bid for fun.
