Sweet piece of property and has the added benefit of broadcasting cannibal anarchy to the solar system.

Man, you could really pick up a lot of channels with that thing.

TimeWarner will still call you biweekly asking if you want to purchase their service. No way around it.

Hell, that seems like a damn good deal to me. The land alone is a mere $14.5 grand an acre. I'd gladly pay three times that for an acre of land nearby where I live.

That's a lot for that type of land. It's usually around 2,000 to 5,000 / acre.

Here you are paying for the satellite dish, reminds me of an old 007 movie.

The "structure" is way bigger than most houses and would probably serve better as a house than most of the shacks going for $300k around here.

Imagine the heat at the center of the dish. If you want it cooler just move out to the rooms on the ends. ;)

You would need a few people on rattlesnake patrol for sure.

Re-pointing the dish would be fun the first dozen times.

Maybe it could be rented out for film and music video projects.

Lots of competition for those jobs from all the other smart Californians who had already moved there, sure they would get a job immediately.

thats how you do it.. transfer internally. second, your hired right out of college.

So why do people want to live in Palo Alto?

it reminds them of Boston college town.. being next to Stanford. Beyond that there
is no value.

a typical Californian native would rather be hiking surfing diving or what ever getting out on weekends than walking like a hobo down University St. buying a $5 cup of coffee.

i have seen better days..

A realtor told them that prices only go up. Honestly, that is the only reason that seems to make sense. Knowing your single panel wood cottage is costing you more in taxes than what the average person pays in mortgage costs must be justified. That only justification is that you are doing it for the appreciation.

I think it would be fun to point it at the nearest neighbors house, just to screw with their minds.
