Hello everyone,

Can someone please tell me what in the world is going on in downtown Burlingame? The place looks like a war-zone with the construction trucks everywhere and the street itself is ruined. When I drove down Burlingame Ave yesterday I thought my teeth were going to rattle right out of my mouth.

I'm was looking at renting a place there right off El Camino Real but would like to know how long that construction is expected to run?

Anyone know?

Is it? An expression my mom picked up from Maritime Canadians, I am pretty sure.

Sounds like CBS owes your mother some royalties.

I think Futurama said it best. Too bad I could only find a German clip.

The government is building an american gestapo over there - that's gonna be "phase 2" of the phone call/electronic trail monitoring project. Then, phase 3 will be known as "fertilizer".

I lived in Millbrae until December of last year. The traffic on El Camino Real was unbelievable. Add to that the condition of the road and it's amazing there are not more accidents.

I like South San Francisco much better. If a terrorist attack goes down at the airport you won't have far to drive to get in on the action.

Do I have AF on my list of people to pick up when they call me back to active duty to help secure the Bay Area? Mmmm.

Burlingame is spending $16m to spruce up the downtown - wider sidewalks, room for outside dining, fancy streetlights, new landscaping, etc. It's named the "Burlingame Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project".

For someone that would like to live there a year that's a bummer.

Wow, I was just introduced to this atrocity known as EL CAMINO REAL!

It's even worse in the south bay.
