I felt sad when I saw the verdict in the George Zimmerman case. I shall speak now as one who attended law school but did not graduate. In almost any legal jurisdiction in the world, if someone shoots an unarmed person, even if that person is a policeman or soldier, the person doing the shooting is in serious trouble. A conviction for manslaughter often follows and one is sent away to jail for some time. I honestly felt that Zimmerman was guilty of terrible bad judgment and such a verdict was warranted.

I feel that the way Florida wrote its definition of self defense tied the hands of the jury and left them with no option but to find Zimmerman not guilty.

This is a sad case where everyone including the taxpayers of the state of Florida lost "big time."

My father had some words of wisdom that apply here as follows: "Son a gun will get you into more trouble than it will ever get you out of."

No we lost when the media started their bullshit and the politicians was using that "Treyvon Gold" to give their election campaign some juice. If you heard GZ's lawyer final parting words last night, at the press conference. That was exactly how I saw it.

Sir I could not agree with you more!

Thanks Captain for the video links. Completely agree with O'Mara. From NBC editing the 911 call to make GZ sound racist, to the media simply following a narrative that was racially charged instead of following facts, it's a miracle that the trial went the way it did.

That cunt Jesse Jackson should have taken MLKjr's bullet. The world would be a far better place.

Good thing there aren't any racists around here.

Perish the thought.

If there were any such here, they would be celebrating that one can profile a guy, confront him while armed, and escape punishment. No one would express such a sentiment here!

Profiling and confronting are not crimes, so feel free to celebrate.

I apologize: I forgot to add "confront him while armed, kill him, ..." and so on.

(I hope I did not rain on anyone's racegasm.)

We should also celebrate a justice system that didn't get held hostage by racist like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. There must have been incredible pressure to serve Zimmerman up on a plate, especially after Obama called Trayvon his son. Still the jury did its job and relied on facts, not emotion driven narrative, and we all know the right verdict was given. The system still works.

And Trayvon was punching Zimmerman in the face and bashing his head into the ground, on top of Zimmerman and preventing his escape. You kind of left that out, too.

Hey BalloonHead.
Are we on speaking terms yet?
