peace, prosperity, and safety of the 1990s
Yeah, the internet boom felt good while it lasted. I am not sure what Bill had to do with it other than his usual smillin' good luck to be in office when it happened.
A lot of people also congratulate Clinton for making the republican's dreams come true with his Welfare to (no)Work Act. Dismantling another chunk of the social safety net for the "roll back the New Dealers"
Remember that the democrats have finally sucked their way to parity in corporate PAC funding and now, unquestionably, serve the same masters.
APOCALYPSEFUCK is Shostakovich says
Clinton is the ultimate bank deregulator.
There are bigger crimes but not many.
It's safe to say that each new President raises the bar.
We need this to change.

Don't forget NAFTA and giving away telecommunications frequencies for free to the phone companies.
Out of all the presidents since Reagan, only Clinton served the public interests reasonably well.
Hence he helped get rid of glass steagall...
puhim.
pointless to argue with dan. he has a heart-on for Clinton... Clinton is god to him and there is no way to convince him otherwise, regardless of whether u give him facts or not.

I have a hard-on for the truth, which is something you'd know if you actually read the thread instead of skimming it and then saying clearly false things like "Clinton is a god to him".
Out of all the presidents since Reagan, only Clinton served the public interests reasonably well. And although Clinton's administration was mediocre, it was order of magnitudes better than any other president since 1980.
Not exactly how someone talks of a god.
Furthermore, a real argument doesn't involve two people going back and forth:
"Yes it is!"
"No it's not!"
"Yes it is!"
"No it's so fucking not"
"Ah ha, it is so!"
"You such an idiot. It is not!"
That's the way three-year-olds "argue". The way adults argue is point by point, each rebuttal adding new evidence to support one side and addressing the opposition's arguments. It's not that hard.

It was Clinton's administration that put the final nail in the coffin in "Glass-Steagall
True, and that was the biggest mistake of the Clinton administration. However, Clinton also balanced the budget, had a surplus, kept us out of war, and made some progress in Middle East peace negotiations (which were undone by the Bush administration).
Yep, it helps when you actually read the thread.
I stand by my statement that Clinton was far better than Reagan, either Bush, or Obama. I also stand by my arguments that puhim's assertion that Clinton attacked other countries to cover up the Lewinsky fake scandal is ridiculous. The entire Lewinsky pseudo-scandal was a political witch hunt contrived by Republicans because they had nothing better to offer the country. You can see the same strategy being played out today with Benghazi.
At least Bush Fils has the grace to live out the last of his days as an object of richly-deserved contempt.
Hillary is no better than a neocon war-mongering nut. She needs to disappear, along with the rest of the Iraq War supporters.
