I spent six years of my life in South Africa. The people there are wonderful. I had the best social life of all time there. Today the carpet cleaners came. They did a great job. But their chemicals smelled bad and took hours to dry. I had to flee the house. I went to view the South African film Elysium. It was from the team that brought you District 9. It's a great action movie. For science fiction lovers like me they have great special effects including a giant space station where the elites live. Jodie Foster plays a British South African down to the accent. The real bad guys are Afrikaaners (South Africans of Dutch ancestry). The real message of the film is the growing inequality between the super rich and the rest of us all over the world.

That was District 9's message as well, and Fuck Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell, and Peter Jackson and Carolynne Cunningham.
Personally I don't have plans of watching it, until it's something I skipped over at least 12 times on Netflix.
District 9 was great "unfinished" film. I don't call that laziness, I call it selling people less than what they paid for.
Then these assholes thinks it's ART to not make a District 9 part 2, so they gave us this instead. That the previews look like District 9 part 2 with out any fucking Aliens.

Why does trying to do Art get in the way of so many people making Art?

I was excited to see Elysium, the previews made it look pretty good. However, the film itself was kind of boring and predictable. Plus, I thought there were too many holes in the plot to suspend disbelief, a no-no for any sci-fi flick.
