Bomb scare shuts down Mission Street

(08-17) 13:39 PDT San Francisco -- Police shut down part of Mission Street for almost two hours Saturday morning after receiving reports of a man armed with an explosive device.
Officers responded to a call around 9:55 a.m. in the 2200 block of Mission Street where a man was reported inside a business with a possible hand grenade, according to police.
Mission Street was closed between 18th and 19th streets while police searched the area and suspect was located with what appeared to be a hand grenade, though police were unable to confirm if the device was live or not.
