I agree. I wish I had bought in 2011 or even 2012. I'm afraid this is going to be as good as it ever gets.
this is a heavily bear dominated site. a lot of biased opinions and disinformation here.
"As for existing housing this place doesn't look so bad:

Nice, VERY private lot and room to add on later as your needs change."
The bars on the window add a nice rustic touch!

Ha Ha... Where's AF?? He would say just add a Gatlin gun nest on the roof and it would go great with those bars on the windows....
Does that house also come with a Doberman or German Shepard??
Two Pit Bulls included in sale price :)
Looking at Google Street views.
WE can see the house is set behind a neighbor's house and it looks like the house shares the driveway with another property. This may mean the long driveway is not included in the square footage of the lot.
Also no neighbors on the backside or on the right. Looks like good privacy to me.
Why the bars? Who knows. Could be there was a break in 30 years ago and the owner freaked out. The rest of the houses on the street look fine. In any case it doesn't hurt to go look at the place.
And NO, I am not a realtor.

The bias I can live with, the disinformation however should get such posters banned when it can be proven.

Interesting article about the effect of rising prices on inventories. Maybe inventories will rise if people feel that prices are topping out?
From the article's conclustion:
History shows a long-run relationship between house prices and the number of houses available for sale. Thus, current inventories of homes for sale are low given more than a year of house price appreciation. County-level data suggest that many homeowners are waiting for prices to rise further in their markets. Markets that have seen the strongest house price appreciation and job growth are the ones where for-sale inventories have declined the most.
