Which sounds more plausible?

1. A 13-year-old boy surrounded by cops with drawn weapons telling him to drop his (toy) gun, decides instead to point the toy weapon at the cops who already have their guns drawn and pointed at him.

2. The cops shoot the kid on sight without giving any warning or allowing him any time to react including by dropping his toy gun. To cover their asses, the cops lie about telling the kid to drop the toy gun, lie giving him time to comply with the order, and lie about the boy pointing the gun at them.

Of course, for some reason, there is never any video evidence to collaborate the cops' stories. If you can put a laser scope on a gun, you can put a camera on it.

Oh, and the eye witness said the kid froze, which is a far more believable reaction. And a frozen kid isn't pointing the gun at the cops. Exactly how many milliseconds was he given to drop the gun?

Another case of at least second degree murder that won't even be prosecuted because the court system is corrupt.

Shouldn't the pro-gun rights crowd be literally up in arms over this? I mean, if you can't even carry a toy gun, what makes you think the cops won't shoot you on sight for carrying a real rifle?

Even if the gun had been real, the cops are still murderers. Possessing an AK-47 is legal in California. If the cops can't shoot a kid on sight for holding his dad's hunting rifle, why should they get a free pass to shoot a kid holding any legal gun, but not firing or threatening anyone with it? If anything, a kid with a gun is far less dangerous than an adult with a gun. Even the most malevolent 13-year-old can't do nearly as much damage as a 19-year-old with basic army training.

So again, why aren't all the gun rights people up in arms against this and demanding the police be wanted dead or alive. You think Obama is coming for your guns? You think liberals are coming for you guns? No, the police are coming for your guns.

I don't want to hear another peep about anti-gun laws until the police can't shoot people even when they are dead on the ground for merely possessing a gun, irrelevant that it's a toy, fake gun. Laws don't matter if the cops just kill you on sight.

Mark D says

suspect pulling a hidden handgun from his rear pants,

Or…..he was complying by trying to set the handgun down as well. There was nothing this fool could have done to avoid getting gunned down.

Crime rates declining for DECADES, LE deaths at lowest point since 18freaking87, and yet they are shooting US (and our dogs) at an ever escalating rate.

"The 2013 number continued a general decades-long decline for law enforcement deaths since a peak of 280 deaths in the early 1970s. Like much of the U.S., which has seen violent crime rates near their lowest point in generations, life for police officers seems to have gotten safer.

But the number of justified [they are nearly all Justified] homicides by police officers has increased over time, according to the latest available statistics from the FBI, which do not include 2013."

They are also doing totally unnecessary, hyper-violent ,no-knock, SWAT raids at the rate of 40 THOUSAND a year. Just for the Testosterone High.

Apparently not.

90-pound Teen killed by Cops in Cold Blood

What began as a family’s call to police for help in calming a schizophrenic teenager armed with a screwdriver and a mouthful of threats ended with police gunfire and heartache.

The killing of Keith Vidal, 18, of Boling Springs Lakes, NC, over the weekend has spurred a state investigation into the teen’s death and a family’s call for answers as they say police shot Vidal in cold blood.

Family of Vidal said they called police on Sunday afternoon to help subdue the 90-pound teen who was holding a small screwdriver and threatening to fight his mother during a schizophrenic episode. Two officers responded to the family’s home and restrained Vidal. Then, a third officer arrived and soon thereafter reportedly shot Vidal, Mark Wilsey, Vidal’s step-father, told reporters during a press-conference on Monday.

According to Wilsey, as the first two officers were restraining Vidal, the third officer walked into the family’s house and said “I don’t have time for this. Tase him. Let’s get him out of here,” Wilsey said. At that point, one of the officers used a stun gun on Vidal. The young man hit the ground and “this guy shot him,” Wilsey said.

Vidal was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead.

When Wilsey asked why the officer had shot the teen, he said the officer replied, “Well, I’m protecting my officers.”

“He reached right up, shot this kid point-blank, with all intent to kill,” Wilsey said. “Keith was not threatening anybody, Keith did not want any part of it. He was having a bad day,” Wilsey said. “He was flat out murdered, there was no need for deadly force. No reason.”

Cop inconvenience is a reason, justified by "Protecting my officers from a 90-lb kid that was just tazed after he was already restrained by two adult males",

If cops were Coffee Shop Employees:

Springfield : Today, Mrs. Annie Ying was killed by Starbucks Supervisor Maddy Hightower, after Ying complained to Hightower about not following her half-soy, half-calf instructions. Hightower then pulled a pistol and shot Ying 7 times, emptying the .45 into her chest and face. Hightower claimed that she was in fear of her physical safety as Ying appeared on the verge of violence."

Barrista Union Rep Dewey Cheatham said that Hightower was justified, as it is Union Policy - and now the policy of Springfield City - that barristas' use of deadly force is always legal if the barrista feels physically threated. Springfield City DA Rex Governor said "Absolutely. No charges will be filed against Hightower by the city, as the safety of coffee servers is sacred in Springfield. We will be having a meeting of the Coffee Shop Oversight Committee to determine how best to prevent dangerous individuals like Ying from starting these terrible confrontations."

Chairman of the Springfield Tea Party said "Everybody knows how to stop these kinds of situations - don't argue with the Starbucks Employees, respect their expertise and authority. Do exactly what they say. If they said, 'buy a tall latte', you just switch your order. That, or you're a communist."
