“And that is why personally, I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin,” she said as she went off-script on live TV. “I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth, and that is why, after this newscast, I’m resigning.”

I used to watch RT but it was always to some extent Putin's critique of America; as Putin got worse, I stopped watching.

Oh Sure like her Journalistic abilities were her greatest asset that got her that job in the first place. They'll just get another great rack to read the news.

She insulted an authoritarian asshole dictator who, thanks to his huge, intrusive, and brutal government, is a hero to American right wingers who fancy themselves ardent proponents of freedom.

She is toast.

Wahl described the TV stations inner workings during a segment with Anderson Cooper on CNN later Wednesday.
"RT is not about the truth," Wahl said. "It's about promoting a Putinist agenda. It's also about bashing America."

A friend of mine who works in DC area media indicated that among people who take journalism seriously, everyone views RT as "kind of a joke". Its thus pleasing to see someone on the inside confirming that is the case. Isnt there someone here who defends RT as being "objective"?

Don't get me wrong - the US media has its issues, but it is nothing compared to the severe bias employed by RT - its what I imagine VOA was like in europe in WWII - propaganda at its finest.

If you really want to know whats going on without a (severe pro or con America) bent, watch BBC, or Al Jazeera or even NHK - but for god sakes, don't think for a minute RT is anything more than entertainment.

In all reality it's hard to talk about America, with out sounding like you're talking shit about America, these days.

assassinate and skull fuck and eat Putin, but perhaps not in that order.

For some reason the order of these acts can be problematic in Russia:

August 9, 1918

Comrade Fyodorov,

It is obvious that a whiteguard insurrection is being prepared in Nizhni. You must strain every effort, appoint three men will) dictatorial powers (yourself, Markin and one other), organise immediately mass terror, shoot and deport the hundreds of prostitutes who are making drunkards of the soldiers, former officers and the like.

- V. I. Lenin

Superficially, shooting and then deporting makes the best sense, but might there be arguments in favor of deporting them first, and then shooting them?

I would not go so far as to call them objective, but they were the only TV news show that I saw reporting on the Romneys committing voter registration fraud in Massachusetts.

... which they probably pulled right out of Putin's ass. ;)

Romney voter fraud was reported in The Guardian and elsewhere online. RT was the only broadcast channel that I saw reporting it.

Part of Putin's problem seems to be, he has got a lot worse since his marriage ended in divorce. He reminds me of Henry VIII, or Ivan the Great becoming Ivan the Terrible. He made a deal with the Russian Orthodox Church, and fancies himself a divine and Napoleonic emperor.

Surrounded by fawning neutered sycophants, with my children, usually too terrified to visit me, at my side.

Idiots, all of them: I even shot and imprisoned some of their own spouses, but they were too gormless to act.

Major respect for Liz Wahl. It was a courageous move, or a well calculated one if she's levering this for another job, the cynic in me reminds me. But I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. It's nice to see someone stand by their ethics when it's not convenient to do so. I wish more journalists were like her instead of the ratings whores we have.

Also, this supports the theory that no news agency can honestly report on news happening within its own country. This makes a good case for watching news from a lot of different countries. I sense a business model: aggregation and translation of news from different countries. Take any news story and show how each nation's media portrays it. Pick apart inconsistencies and find what aspects are confirmed by multiple sources.

That is where you are wrong. Business Insider is bought and paid for by banksters. The agenda is Neocon/Zionist. Read my ebook, Wicked Zionism. I used to contribute to BI and an editor told me a certain article could not be on the front page because it was too anti banker. I saved the email.

In all fairness, as you probably know by now, you personally are sometimes the topic of conversation as many people wonder aloud if you are suffering from some sort of mental illness:

http://patrick.net/?p=1238816

I have wondered this myself as it often comes across in your writings - a clear sense that there is something not right about the way your brain processes information.

As such, I think its highly likely that the people at BI picked up on this as well, and thus declined to post any more of your writings. Because, even in the (unlikely) event that everything you post is true, and that there really is a vast Zionist conspiracy - BI knows they will quickly lose all credibility if they choose to associate with someone who comes across as an escapee from a mental institution.
