They're assholes! They don't care how much your family will be affected by climate-related disasters and the resulting economic downturns. They only care about their own selfish interests and appeasing their overlords.

Your argument is that because the U.S. turned China into a polluting economic powerhouse, we should completely ignore the train headed right at us. That's just plain stupid.

they have been polluting long long before nixon came to their shores.

Want to make a difference... you should be flying to China this week!

Here are many scientists who say you scientists findings are shite:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scientists_opposing_the_mainstream_scientific_assessment_of_global_warming

Give me five minutes and that Wikipedia article will say all those so-called scientists are actually escape inmates from Arkham prison.

Wikipedia is a source of misinformation controlled by corporations and government agencies who dominate pages and use them as propaganda.

In contrast, my evidence comes from scientific, peer-review publications and highly respected national and international organizations with a long track record of expertise on the subject matter.

Really, are you seriously trying to use Wikipedia to contradict the World Health Organization, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the United Nations, and the U.S. Department of Defense? And you wonder why rational people don't take you seriously.

Tie trade to both human rights and pollution. For every problem, there is a solution.

and there you have it... NIMBY so dont blame China if your the one

who moved US Mfg to China because of enviromental issues..

you reap what you sow... and this is what you get for moving jobs

overseas .... now you dont want to stop the pollution that is spreading global.

1. You deliberately misquoted me.
2. If you're so concerned about corporate profit and don't give a damn about pollution, move to China.
3. Nothing you said has contributed anything to this conversation. You have not refuted any facts presented by your opposition. You merely try to distract from the issue.
4. You, personally, are harming America by spreading stupidity and misinformation about a matter of national security -- that's the Department of Defense's words, not mine -- and that makes you the most unpatriotic person in this country.

No I don't give a shit what you think.

My point was that Gore was projecting.

There is evidence that there is global warming but assigning cause is a different story. They used to cry mini ice age a few decades back.

Before that there was a lot of chatter about acid rain. But once the funding for acid rain studies dried up so did the chatter about acid rain.

Once the funding for Gore's straw man dries up so will the chatter. BUT if the asshole gets cap and trade passed who knows when the chatter will dry up.

You mutts are being duped, Gore does not give a shit about anyone but himself.

You're "point" is an irrelevant and unsupported assertion. I'd debate it, but it's not even worth the time since that's not what this is about.

This thread is about why conservatives say that climate change is a hoax, not man-made, or something we can't address even though all the evidence contradicts them. And this thread has demonstrated the real motive: conservatives don't care how much climate change will hurt the world or even America because they stupidly believe that they won't be affected, so they simply sell out for money and power.

The article is about the real motivation of climate change, not about Al Gore. So yes, you are presenting a red herring.

What many people don't know is that the USA has significantly REDUCED our CO2 output and this trend may continue as we go from oil/gasoline to natural gas.

So, we don't have to actually DO anything about it here.

China and India are going to do as they please so getting worked up about it is a waste of adrenaline.
