That proves I was right. Both Compton and places like South Central (now called South LA) are much more Latino than they were back in the day. If memory serves, Compton is 65% Latino, and South Central is at least 55% Latino. Don't think you've ever been to either.

Yep its true. Everyone talks about White Flight out of California but no one talks about "Black Flight". The African American population in Cali has remained stagnant or has dropped in every census since 1980, with their percentage of the states population declining even more dramatically. Hundreds of thousands have transplanted to The South where the schools are the least racially segregated in the nation, while California I believe is only behind NY for having the most racially segregated schools. California also has twice as much hate crimes committed here than the entire South combined. Those might be some reasons blacks are leaving the state.
