The Congolese soldiers march through the night, but not towards battle. In the dark, they are hunting for women who have fled their homes in Minova to hide in the bushes. The women know that if they are seen, they will be raped and maybe killed.

The victims in that war were Muslim women. They were victimized twice....first by a horrible religion with horrible practices, and then by Christian rapists. People are people, and humans are humans. I don't care who you are, why you are, or where you are. Human rights applies to all.

Do you include Boko Haram under that umbrella? Or the child of ANY age and gender slavers of Al Quieda and the Taliban?

Or how about "General Butt Naked"?

http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Butt_Naked

The latter defines evil itself.

BTW speaking of Boko Haram they just kidnapped more Nigerian girls

Innovative and productive, I guess, but freedoms?

Tell it to the one in three African American males under some form of criminal justice supervision whether imprisoned, jailed, on parole or probation.

I'm sure they already realize they have no freedom, and most likely deserve it.

If you are implying racism, keep in mind we are not a racist country anymore. We have a twice elected Black President in the White House.

America has war fatigue, we all understand that. I am not advocating boots on the ground and spending a trillion dollars on yet another war. That would be stupid.
We need to:
1. Use our drones to track and kill those barbarians.
2. Set up an African response force that goes in with the sole purpose of stopping genocide and atrocities.
3. Provide intelligence and arms to the Africans force.

Why is that bad? We should be doing the same in Mid East. Let them do the dying.

Not sure how easy that is to do in a jungle.

Good luck with that, even the Nigerians won't do anything!

3. Provide intelligence and arms to the Africans force.

See above.

Well, Strategist, No Oil There.

War to stop women from being raped and torture in a country with no oil? What are you thinking?

Actually both the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria have a good amount of petroleum reserves:

Nigeria in particular has more that we do.

Do they keep the best looking girl to take with them as the Vikings did?

This is an example of group think, I suppose more cogent when the participants have guns? Is it any different than the Nazis exterminating Jews? Group think one of the dangers of a centralized government.

It is more exciting to direct your self dramatic empathy at brown people in exotic locales, than the oppressed in your own country, I guess.
