Well, I have to agree that Dublin isn't Oakland yet, but they are both SFBA.
They are working hard on getting some of that shining, Oakland ambience in the Tri-Valley, though, stay posted, and start packing!

For the move northeast or southeast. I hear wonderful things about FOLSOM and MODESTO. They even have chipotles grill and panera bread. What else could you want.
Give them all an $80,000 yearly household income and access to thousands of retail stores and restaurants and that should occupy their time instead of fighting. Problem solved.

I don't think it will help if they are sick beyond redemption.

Everyone want's to live near all the pretty pretty shops, but they buy anything of important from Amazon, only a moron would pay retail. But it frames the hood nice though.

I imagine the only way to know is to try..Why not, everything else has failed.

Living near pretty shops on immaculate streets is one of the keys to true happiness and fulfillment.
In some of these areas of the world, it's all about what percentage of what "race" lives on the land - a true tribal, archaic and primitive mentality. I could call them apes, but it would be insulting to them (the apes) lol.
Free market cleanses humanity of prejudice.
Greed is infinitely more productive than ethnic pride.

It most definitely helps. Pan-nationalism is usually the last refuge of the scoundrels.

This is why Monte Carlo is heaven. Pretty boats too, though they ought to be called ships.

have the smallest govt possible to enforce legal contracts, law and order.
have democracy for that govt. individual freedom and free markets.
what else does a person need ? everybody is on their own after that.
where does nationality , race, tribes, historical land ownership ...etc matter at all ?
if you want to help yourself , you can otherwise you cannot..plain and simple.
Delinking the individual from the govt/some power structure for his needs and production is the best thing we can do to help the world.
when you do that, there are no fights over land, money ..this and that.
a person can only blame himself for what he is (If any society can achieve this one thing. it has found nirvana !)
the more we do that the less people can blame others for their problems and fight over it.
In this regard, USA is far better than any other country on the planet. there is a lot of room for improvement though.
Everybody should be on their own and the only interaction they have with somebody else is through a free market overseen by the smallest govt possible.
now imagine, if israel and palestine both had these kind of govt in their countries. do you think , people would care to fight over the land ?
of course , the biggest challenge is that people should buy in to this kind of system.
people in some of these countries still have stone age mentalities.
Is it true that individualists tend to dislike team sports?
even team sports are free market based..so i love it.
you don't perform, you are out. you are good, you are in.
race, color, religion...etc do not matter.
every individual is on their own.
now imagine, the local people vote on who can play in the game...that would be a disaster.
Free Market is great in that respect..i love it. its color/race/gender/nationality..blind.
Free market just makes the invisible hand to make decisions.
absence of it, people ( through govt or some other power structure) make the decisions and we all know that people are flawed. We are our own enemies and need a impartial non - human third party system to govern us.

I don't know why Google doesn't buy California and tells all the ASSHOLES! who aren't working for them to get the fuck out.
because google cannot have enough money to buy california without already having that many people working for them !
Here in SFBA we literally have people from all over the world. The only real determining factor where one lives in our area is ultimately money. People don't kill each other over "rights" of certain ethnicities to live here or in certain cities. And then you look at israelis/palestinians and russians/ukraninans and can't help but wonder why some people reason and act like primitive savages. You pretty much have 2 groups of people involved and they still can't get their territorial/political disputes figured out.
