That's the idea. Why hang on to something you think is overpriced? I don't own gold stocks or bullion because I think it's over priced.
Samsung and other companies are followers.
Samsung makes the chip in the iPhone. It's really not that great when your suppliers make a competing product.
Apple has been offering less at a higher cost since the Apple II vs. the C64.

It's fine because you can always cry anti-trust.
Alas, you have to respect Apple. I have never been a fan of their products, yet somehow we have an iMac, an iPod, an iPad, a Time Machine, and TWO MacBook Pro's. I don't know how that happened.

Samsung made the A7, but the A8 is made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
Apple and Samsung have a complicated relationship. During much of the Apple v Samsung litigation, Apple was also Samsung's biggest customer, including chips and displays; that might still be true. They compete, they litigate, and they continue making stuff.
Somebody worried it will not sell???
The iPhone 6 hasn't even been released yet, but there's already a way to get it for free.
In an unusual move, Verizon Wireless (VZ, Tech30) announced Tuesday it would give away one of the phones Apple (AAPL, Tech30) revealed earlier in the afternoon.

You are an addict Peter, an addict. It only gets worse, and worth every penny.
The Cap'n said: They put a whopping, 1 whole gig of Ram in that thing?
I guess their innovative thinking later will be to introduce a 2 and subsequently a 3 gig version, when their backs are against the wall on the tail of dismal quarterly earnings.
Well, if they wanted, Apple could put 16 GB of usable RAM in one of their phones. You can't do that on any of the other phones listed above. Does anyone here understand that the PA Semi chip designers have been busy?

Probably more like Verizon worried about defection.
I and my family, are defecting to T-Mobile. I've been using a MicroCell device at home, but it's clunky. T-Mobile will offer WiFi-calling, and already has free international roaming. Just as I think I want those features, there's one provider that offers both, so the timing is perfect.
Analysts worry over the churn of valued customers. I called in to American Express and alluded to my annual fee coming up and thinking if it's worth it. I spend a lot on that card. Before long I had a specialist on the line laying out incentives of money and points to keep me. I read somewhere that the cost of acquiring a credit card customer is ~$700, so if you are decent ongoing value to them, they will spend to keep you as replacing you is expensive. I'm sure some analyst at VZ made a similar judgement.

Why on earth is AAPL stock so fucking high? They have proven once again the inability to innovate. They are quite simply behind in everything and not catching up. The iPhone 6 is a joke. And some of you think stocks are going to continue climbing? For what? What is apple innovating or producing that is worth the money? I realize people buy it, but at the same time their stock is doubling annually, they are continuing to lose ground to their competitors.
