Good Show, this American Life is good.

Of course Goldman Sachs does not have a conflict of interest policy, if they did how could they front run?

I think this is the question of asking a fish how the water he is swimming in is.

The Fed has no idea about having tacit agreement with what ever Goldman or any other bank thinks or does.

This girl reminds me of a caller, calling into ABC news during the 92 riots, and saying they helped to cause the store looting by broadcasting the location of the store and that there were no police there, I remember Christine Lund turning beet red upon realizing the caller was right.

It looks to me like the Fed turned beet red and then fired Carmen Segarra for doing her job.

Bullshit... This crony crap is literally bringing the whole country down

Another one is that everyone unwittingly thinks war is a natural part of this countries conduct, bullshit.

Another one is in the beltway, real bullshit.

Another one is the DOD and defense contractors, bullshit. How would this affect you STEM workers?

Another one is the FDA and Big Pharma, how many school shootings are connected with pharmaceuticals, bullshit.

Another one is the Dept of Agriculture and ADM type companies, bullshit.

Tapes showing meek oversight of Goldman are about to rock Wall Street

You're crazy, this isn't going to rack anything. Wall street knows damn well the fed is in their hands and the sheeple could care less as long as they don't miss DWTS.

The most that will happen is some congressional hearings that will do absolutlely nothing other than giving cspan something to air at o dark hundred.

Well the F22/F35 squandered a tremendous amount of money and at least some trickled into the pockets of engineers. Same with the ISS, the space shuttle and a host of other bloody expensive projects that went nowhere.

XB-70 Valkyrie, I'm looking at you!

Probably a fair amount was also spent on "Aurora" and other off the books projects too but shh, we don't talk about those.

That is the one that raised the average salary of all STEM workers. What percentage of engineers don't work for the government in directly?

It is quite amazing to me that these mutts don't realize that this is exactly what they are doing.

This group think at a sector level.

Does anyone really think the regulars do anything besides inhale bankster cock with savage abandon?

Wall Street likes Obama because it's easy to hold onto his ears when you're fucking his face, in the grand tradition of bankster management of the presidency

Someone who says what needs to be said. You are a true american hero.

Absolutely not, with the exception of Carmen Segarra, she has more guts than the rest of them put together. Of course she gets fired and the pansy judge throws out the trial.

Meanwhile Geithner and company skip merrily down the road...

Truly I see the rioting and burning cities from my window.

I don't understand the outrage. Regulation is bad, therefore free market wins!

That is because you are not too bright, I will say this slower and louder (as if that will help) CRONY CAPITALISM IS NOT FREE MARKET.

Obama - Tim "I don't regulate" Geithner, Eric "I don't prosecute" Holder.

Obama on the Leno show, two months after being elected to his first term, and having conducted no investigation whatsoever: "Here is the dirty little secret. Wall Street committed no crimes."

The damage is incalculable as it makes more and more Americans cynical and soured on America. It is corrosive. Will you obey the law as others do not and get away with it? Will you defend a corrupt country with a two-tiered justice system, and rising inequality?

Not really.

The flood of cheap engineers from China , India and especially the old soviet states diluted out any talent shortage.

Nothing is so corrosive as the rewrite of accounting principles that allow banks to report their crimes are performing instruments.

What is the reserve rate now? something like ∞ to 1

I know obscenity when I see it, and this crime against humanity would gag a maggot.

Bingo

Funny thing is that there are 300+ million people against a few hundred, when motivated thems at the top is gunna wish...

Actually Somalia is constantly improving under anarchy meanwhile we is constantly declining...

There is little practical distinction between having no regulation, and simply telling cops to sit on their hands. Either way, free market.

It's the method well-trod by double-naught Glibertopian mole Alan Greenspan himself.

He got a medal, and is rich. You have any medals?

17   FortWayne   2014 Sep 29, 7:57am

I hope this sparks some change. From what I've seen Congress is a lot of tough talk, but no action. Especially when it comes to dealing with their own crony friends.

Exactly. You can't object CRONY CAPITALISM and be against regulation.

Are you also against regulating money in politics?
Do you also think there is no link between this and that?

You somehow associate that with the free market? That qualifies you as economically illiterate, actually you might be retarded? You should go see a doctor...

How much good has McCane Feingold done regarding this?

Heraclitusstudent says

The connection is between corrupt politicians and lobbyists. Understand it is not in the form of we will give you blah blah, it is the form of we are old buddies. The way Goldman gets what it wants is by being buddies with everyone and throwing money around big time not directly but though parties, favors, and directly not that we would ever know, and campaign contributions.

The Solution would be :

1) a much better educated constituency. No one as dumb as Vincent or Tat should even be allowed to vote.

2) Repeal the 17th amendment.

3) Dissolve the Federal Reserve Bank

4) Term limits

5) The idea of representative government is a charade, do the math and you will see what I mean. The only option is too emaciate the Fed government.

6) Enforce the 10 amendment and allow the states to nullify Fed horseshit.

See my post above. But no that is not correct. Just from a logic point of view the predicate does not confirm the subject.
