You're right he needs to work on his gun control, if worse comes to worse a shot gun. OTOH the "assailants" (bitches) had guns also, so he did pretty good kilt one of them and hopefully all 3, I hope the Grandpa recovers from his wound.

In Tx I hear it is just that they are on your property.

I don't think that's true, I have known 3 people who have killed in self defense in California, and the only guy who went to jail was the one who didn't have an "alternative exit". He didn't go to jail for killing his knife wielding assailant, he went to jail for carrying an unregistered concealed weapon and having an unregistered pistol under the age of 21. The other 2 guys killed burglars on their property and could have ran.

The reason the guy from MN went to jail was because he was lying in wait, moved the dead bodies and waited for more than 24 hours to call the cops.

Yeah, if I remember right, what got him in trouble was what he did AFTER he shot the two intruders, not the shooting itself.

Yeah and his own audio recordings did him in. He deleted the video, but not audio. It caught him injuring the girl, and then he waited for a while before executing her.

I think he was a defense contractor or worked for law enforcement in some capacity too.

Could be. California legislators are so busy making new, pointless and redundant laws, both the public and law enforcement can't keep up. I was under the assumption, that there was no duty to flee/retreat in any of the 50 states like there is in Britain.
