Michigan Democrat For Governor Signed Up Staff For Non-Obamacare Plans, Despite Obamacare Support

The Daily Caller has learned, Democratic Michigan gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer registered his gubernatorial campaign staff for non-Obamacare health care plans. Schauer registered his staff’s plans through the Small Business Association of Michigan, not through Obamacare plans. Schauer voted for Obamacare as a U.S. congressman. The Democrat currently trails Republican incumbent Gov. Rick Snyder by about five and a half points.

The staffers are employees of the campaign. The campaign can get group health insurance for its employees, just like any other employer in the US can if they so choose.

Remember that much lampooned statement, "if you like your insurance you can keep your insurance"?

Now what is your complaint, exactly? That the staffers CAN keep their employer-based insurance?

:) That sarcasm was so complicated that I think it will go over the heads of most right-wingers here on patnet. May have to keep it sweet and simple, like AF does :).

These are campaign staffers who probably weren't even on a staff last year.

If they think Obamacare is go great, why won't they use it?

Don't be a dumbass. Employers get to pay for insurance with pre-tax income, and the employer gets lower rates (group rates), which gives them more bang for their buck. Better than by letting employees pay for Obamacare with after-tax income. Why do you hate private enterprise?

Come to think of it, if the campaign told staffers to get Obamacare, then the wingnuts instead would be screaming that taxpayers were giving tax subsidies to campaign workers via Obamacare. The horror!

No lie is too disingenous for right-wingers.

No amount of contortions and gymnastics of logic is too much, either.

If the above was too complicated for you, the short answer is

BECAUSE THEY *LIKE* THEIR EMPLOYER-BASED INSURANCE.

You liked it before you were against it, didn't you?

(origin of that last joke/sarcasm left as an exercise for the reader)

Sarcasm that denotes the unwillingness of Liberals to participate in the huge mess they created, is dully noted.

Democrats rule #3.

Do as I say not as I do.

Democrats rule #4.

Dems must run public education, but Dems in Public jobs put kids in Private Schools.

OK let's revise the rule...

Unless you're a Liberal then please try to lead by example.
