Pretty hard to find a theater that is playing it, makes one wonder if government is suppressing it in some way.

Not too bad for an Indy Film:

Hopefully it'll be on out soon. They all have balls, and are real heroes.

I bet the Intel Services have the goods on every European Politician and probably every American one too.

I wouldn't watch it if they paid me to watch. I don't like traitors.

Don't forget the Middle East.

I was so happy when a friend who has been a lifelong conservative republican (part of the student conservative Reagan Youth Brownshirt era) came out of this movie raving about what a hero Snowden is.
The truth can set you free.

Only a traitor to Politicians and Government Contractors and their warrantless searchs like King George III; however, Snowden is a patriot of the Constitution.

Good evening to you too Dan. I see you still have a long way to go.

Someone who compromises the security of our nation by outing a CIA operative who's job is to ensure that terrorists don't get nuclear weapons is a traitor. This is what a traitor looks like.

Traitors typically stand in front of America flags so they can backstab out country while looking patriotic.

In contrast, Snowden revealed the crimes of our government and thus has done more to protect Americans from tyranny then any president including Washington.

Traitors reveal state secrets and compromise our safety. That is what Snowden did. The penalty is to hang him from the tallest tree.

Corrected that for you:
Traitors reveal state secrets and compromise our safety. That is what Bush did.

Snowden made us safer by exposing dangerous and highly illegal actions of rogue politicians and operatives in our country. A crime isn't less of a crime when committed by high ranking politicians. It's more of a crime.

He made the terrorists safer by exposing our secrets. And he took refuge in a country that spies on its citizens, denies them human rights and basic freedoms. What a hypocrite.
Eventually Putin will be overthrown, Russia will become our friend and Snowden will be deported to face trial in good ole America. He will spend the rest of his days in an Arizona prison wearing pink underwear.

Crimes are not "secrets". You're still thinking of the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame by the Bush administration. That's exposing our secrets to terrorists.

Strategist says

And he took refuge in a country that spies on its citizens, denies them human rights and basic freedoms.

This says nothing of Snowden and everything of our government, which by the way, also spies on its citizens and denies them human rights and basic freedoms.

You can fantasize all you want. It doesn't mean it will happen or should happen.

The bottom line is that ISIS exists solely because of the Bush administration, not because of Snowden.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."

Exposing classified information is a crime. Don't know anything about Valerie.

So he dumped his country for another that does the same. What an idiot.

Really? ISIS exists solely because of Islam, and nothing else.

Unfortunately, the lessons of history are lost on people like Strategist. Learning from past mistakes is a violation of his religion.

15   Dan8267   2014 Dec 1, 2:23pm

Exposing classified information is a crime.

Not according to the Constitution. Exposing the crimes committed by government agents is exactly the type of speech protected by the First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Snowden's revelations are protected as
- freedom of speech
- freedom of the press
- and the right of the people to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

By definition, one must enumerate grievances to petition for their redress.

The highest law of the land is on Snowden's side. If America were a nation of laws instead of a nation of privileges, Snowden would not have had to seek political asylum. The fact that ANY American ever has the need to seek political asylum is a shameful disgrace on our government.

Addendum:
One could easily argue that the Snowden leaks are protected under freedom of religion as well. There's this one religion, Christianity, that says every person is his brother's keeper. By that principle, Snowden was doing what Christianity requires of every Christian, the protection of every other person. The leak showing the helicopters shooting at children is certainly something covered by being your brother's keeper.

Really? ISIS exists solely because of Islam, and nothing else.

Had Bush not illegally conducted a war to overflow Saddam and set up a puppet government, ISIS would not exist. It was a stupid idea that failed. So yes, Bush and the Republicans are responsible for ISIS and the strength of terrorist organizations today.

In contrast, Snowden's leak did nothing to bolster terrorism. In the long run, Snowden's leak will reduce terrorism by empowering the American public to keep our self-centered politicians in check so that they don't stimulate terrorism.

Yet amazingly after all this time no one in government can say how terrorists are made safer by any "secrets" snowden released. It's been 4 years already. Why is that?

If you know how terrorists were made safer feel free to let everyone else in on it. Otherwise, as I used to tell passengers on my bike, sit down, shut up, and hold on.
