The City Council has approved a plan to meet needs for new housing, and this time around, the state won't fight it as too restrictive in limiting new homes. In a decision anticlimactic compared to its past battle over affordable housing, the City Council last week approved a revised plan aimed at providing housing for people from different income levels. The council vote was 5-0.
