Why are faux-feminists outraged by this work of fiction when millions of their kind loved it? Do they even represent women? Are they running out of things to protest?
Why were there "Women's Decency Committees" in the 19th Century, dedicated to stamping out words and phrases like "Breast Meat" and "Sweat"?
I heard 50 Shades was originally Twillight Fan-fiction, and the writing is on an 8th Grade Level.
"Mommy Porn" I think best describes it.

You don't want to write at a higher level. Literary fiction has almost no market value nowadays.

They prefer "thigh meat?" I don't blame them. I like it *moist*.
Then again, we can use metaphors, just like those in 50 Shades. Their inner goddesses would jump up and down in joy.
Soft core erotica for middle aged lonely women is the new money making genre. I wish I could bring myself to write it. I could quit my job and be a writer, even if I hate myself. It's just so discouraging to see clearly inferior writers making bank writing smut, while more worthy writing is passed over because it doesn't have enough commercial appeal.
Fine, it is not a well-written piece of literature, but it is full of parody potential. There is even a musical, which is better than the book!
