You know you really was against the Second Amendment, both the original amendment that allowed state-run militias and the deliberate misinterpretation that allows private arms?
Jesus.
Yes, Jesus. He was totally against people possessing or using arms. He said "That which you do to the least of my people, you do unto me", and "Turn the other cheek", and "Do good to those who hurt you".
Now I'm a god-damn atheist who doesn't believe in Jesus, but what is the excuse of Christians who own guns and are always pushing against gun regulations? To possess a fire arm is to out-right reject the teachings of Jesus Christ at the most fundamental level. According to that false god, you are your brother's keeper and there is nothing, not even the threat of death, that warrants destroying a human life because humans are your false god's creation made in his image. Now, I don't believe that shit, but if you are Christian, you are required to believe it. Otherwise, you're just faking being a Christian. Your a religious poser, not a believer.
And by the way, if Jesus Christ was a charlatan, he would be right. It would be better to let your whole family die at the hands of a home invader and then go to heaven, then to kill, or even harm, that home invader, who is, after all, one of god's children and should only be judged, punished, or harmed by god. Of course, if all of Christianity is bullshit, then following its doctrine would be stupid.
Religion, not just an academic question after all.
