Colorado's Supreme Court ruled Monday that employers can fire workers who use marijuana for medical reasons, even though it's legal in that state.

Americans with Disabilities Act

The ADA makes it unlawful to discriminate in all employment

practices such as:
recruitment
firing
hiring
training
job assignments
promotions
pay
benefits
lay off
leave
all other employment related activities.

So there we have two conflicting laws. Which is more important, unjustified Federal prohibitions on an arbitrary set of drugs or the rights of Americans with Disabilities to get pain relief and not be made unemployed and dependent on government anti-poverty programs?

Yet another reason why the federal government should not even have the power to make drugs illegal. They clearly cannot refrain from abusing that power and using it to harm America and Americans through wrongful prosecution, job discrimination, and lowering voter turnout.
