I don't doubt for a second that The Original Bankster (AKA "rootvg") means every word of that literally, and might even be planning how to make it happen ASAP. I thought he had been arrested, but apparently he's off his meds and hoping to punish California for letting him go, like the Germanwings pilot punished Lufthansa for letting him fly a plane. Some people need to be confined for their own safety and everyone else's. TOB/rootvg's comments are not a joke, they are a (blood) red flag.

@curious2, I'm not going to tangle with you as been reading your posts for a while as well :-) The decade(?) comment refers to my time on Pat.net, which may be off by a year or two. I see I've been registered for 8 years, so that's about right (as I know Iurked for awhile). I appreciate your ferreting out the rootvg-aix link. From his posts (my memory here) I put him more in mid-management, but clearly(?) his name ties him to a programming past. I also place more weight on ToB hates women to differentiate him from rootvg. With some introspection, I will say your second paragraph is probably spot on.To be frank, marcus and humanity could both trigger me in the same way, but I never tied them together as you did. So I'll let the Pat.net readership take that into account as they weigh my humble opinion against your assessment.

I don't recall ToB mentioning a specific employer, but rootvg worked as (probably a low level) IT consultant for a contractor. The most recent rootvg work location was "a major research university" in SF, and there aren't many. BTW, rootvg also bragged about two leveraged cars, including a BMW X5 35d, which really says something: instead of buying a reasonable car with cash, he needs a higher status symbol even if it means going into debt. The fears and anxieties about status and debt bleed over into the "well fortified" house in Danville. Both accounts reflect an artifact of the debt-driven equity bubble: dot-cons have bid up IT talent to such an extent that even a deranged low-level consultant can tool around in an X5 acting like a big shot, living in a "well fortified" house as he dreams his big dreams of exploding "civil war" and "eagerly awaiting" his chance to "exterminate you".

As I read it, rootvg is probably the home network or VPN associated primarily with the "well fortified" Danville house, so that's where the fantasies of violence appear usually. ToB might be the usually not violent (but still equally hateful) work network or VPN. ToB expresses his hope that we all die, while rootvg goes into more details about his plans to make it happen. Notice though that when ToB's comments sputtered into incoherence, and claimed to quit PatNet, alter ego rootvg suddenly reappeared.

In contrast, non-violent User "marcus" trolls relatively more combatively from the marcus account, and less combatively from the "humanity" work account. The marcus account has a trollishness score of 1.5, while the "humanity" account has a trollishness score of 0.7. The same personality shows through either way, although at least marcus is not violent, merely an ordinary troll.

Lastly, one other comment about ToB/rootvg, and it relates to the recent tragic shooting in SC. That shooter fell into the same hateful ideology that threatens to consume rootvg/ToB. The people who said nothing, e.g. the roommate who knew all about the violent ambitions but said nothing, really only enabled the situation to worsen. Back around 1990, that shooter, and even longer ago rootvg/ToB, were born as probably the joy of their parents' eyes. They fell under the influence of hateful ideologies, in the case of rootvg an old religious guy born around 1913 who died last year IIRC. The SC shooter will probably die in prison. Enabling rootvg/ToB would most likely result in the same. At the risk of sounding like a "liberal" Californian, rootvg/ToB needs the right type of help before he ends up needing forgiveness from other families, just as the Germanwings pilot needed to be removed from that plane.

He's definitely serious. The "well fortified" house is no joke. When you invest a major chunk of your net worth in hammers, everything starts to look like a nail.

I think it is instructive that ToB has not replied to any of this, and essentially vanished as quickly as he had appeared.

The issue is, Mrs. rootvg knows about the rootvg account, so he doesn't mention misogyny there. She might not know about the TOB account.

As for the timing of TOB/rootvg's June 18 thread, I can think of at least three possibilities.
1) President Obama was in SF June 19&20, so the Secret Service may have decided (prudently) to check on TOB/rootvg at his "well fortified" house.
2) The childless Mrs. rootvg may have figured out why rootvg withholds his precious bodily fluids from her. If she has figured that out, then she may decide to move on before her bio-clock winds down. Involuntary acquaintance with the divorce laws of any state can destabilize even a normal person, producing in TOB/rootvg the potentially lethal reaction stated in the OP.
3) a pharmacy error or Rx change may have upset TOB/rootvg's brain (im)balances.
Any or all of the above, or any combination, could light the fuse of rootvg/TOB. People who knew Dylann Roof probably regret now that they failed to speak out sooner.
