I thought that not being a scientist was the necessary qualification for addressing climate issues. Why else does every Republican candidate say "I'm not a scientist" before giving us the absolute truth on this issue?

The pope failed to draw the most immediate (and relevant for him) conclusion: There are already too many human beings on this planet, and our moral duty is to limit the increase, by using contraception.
