is a reason NOT to allow them to migrate here.

Not a reason to throw our hands up and say "Well, come on in, it'll only be a few, nothing we can do to stop it."

Anybody who thinks there aren't plenty of twenty-something American Enviro Engineers who could have done this guy's job, but instead are taking low-paid jobs outside their field, are smoking something.

All these billions spend, all this mega spying infrastructure setup, all these privacy violated and they can't find that?

Mega Spying was always about Economic/Cyber Warfare and Intelligence. I think Snowden released a document that said the vast majority of intercepts center on collecting Economic and State/Corporate Intelligence/Counter-Intelligence Information.

My thanks to the likes of Dan and other naive liberals who claimed data mining was an invasion of privacy and would not stop terrorism.
My thanks to Obama too, for always being the last to know a terrorist attack was by Islam. Maybe if he took his intelligence from Patnet rather than the CIA, he would have been the first to know, like we were.

What.. what... The NSA is collecting *all* contacts, emails, posts worldwide, but an immigrant from Pakistan posted a fucking pledge of allegiance to ISIS ON FACEBOOK and the NSA wasn't all over her ass?

Seriously?

Hey I just read in the paper that they busted a couple in their 50's with 6 pounds of pot! Your beloved government using up lots of resources to protect us from a cannabis flower lol

You don't need any more intrusive spying, you need the willingness and aptitude to focus on the problem and just do cultural/racial profiling and prevent events by blocking and deporting people that are clearly incompatible with western values (freedom of speech, democracy, rule of law etc.). There's too much data mined in fact which will make important info impossible to find. Focus on the usual suspects.

Exactly.

Gathering info is one thing, sorting it out something else. Also, with the Tsarnaev Brothers, assuming that just because they're Chechen, means they'll only go after Russian Kaffirs and not American Kaffirs. Big Mistake.

Yep.Strategist says

Yup. They were too busy watching porn.

And listening to US soldiers and journalists having phone sex with their wives.

Seriously. Homeland security busted that gay escort site in new York. If all those nuts were actually looking for terrorists instead of Rin's buddies-at least we would be safe. Patriot act was used to bust Elliott Spitzer-how does that keep us safe. I wonder if they go after these people, so they can rack up huge fines, seize their assets and give themselves big bonuses/budgets?

Catching jihadis is actual work and not much payback-except keeping the public safe?

14   blastfrompast   2015 Dec 4, 2:25pm

the guy was born in Illinois. So, you are basically saying, don't let people from Illinois move to California?

or don't let anyone marry a foreign wife?

just trying to figure out your point!!

ironman, You have me confused with someone else.

but I see you are still too dumb a cunt to answer a question, and instead rely on a misguided personal attack. sad to be yoU!

If they profiled this scumbag and his whore, they might have caught him.
He seems to be a regular at the mosque.
Travelled to terrorist countries.
Purchased a whore that should have been carefully screened by immigration and HS.
Made lots of phone calls to terrorist countries.
And that was before he accumulated tons of bombs and ammunition. They had contact with foreign terrorists.

WTF! I promote heterosexual esc*rting services. Yes, straight men and women, banging away! Don't get me confused with the Hershey Highway crowd!

Yeah exactly! But do not ever question "bang for the buck" when it comes to defense & intelligence spending!!!

She was screened. That is the big problem. I am watching Samantha Power on the telly telling us why we shouldn't fear Syrian refugees as they are carefully screened. But so was the shooter.

People in power, whether in business or government, are where they are because they can stand behind a story, the story that their boss and his/her boss says is The Story in order to advance the interests of the business or government. When things change suddenly to make the story absurd, and the business or government hasn't yet adjusted, you see precisely how things work in this window of a credibility gap. So Power is proposing the safety of screening refugees when the news is reporting the massacre of citizens by a screened Middle Easterner.

20   MisdemeanorRebel   2015 Dec 4, 6:44pm

WTF is going on? Blurtman, how the fuck is the Apartment of Terrorists who are currently, right now, dominating the news cycle not only Domestically, but Internationally, totally unsecured except for a piece of plywood?

Is the Bazillion Dollar Anti-Terror budget not sufficient to have a single local cop, much less a group of them in unmarked vehicles, or a swarm of FBI Agents, standing outside the most important Crime Scene in the Country 48 hours after a mass killing?

The interior looks like nothing was carted away - there were driver's licenses and Soc Sec cards of the perps and relatives still inside THE APARTMENT!?

Nobody from the FBI, Local Police, State Police, and/or whomever else was involved took at least those items away for fingerprinting, safe keeping, DNA Analysis, etc. etc.?

LOL. The FBI already testified they cannot screen the refugees.
As for that Pakistani terrorist whore Malik, what screening did she go through? Probably a $7.00 per hour clerk who was required to make sure the form was signed and dated.

$7/hr to the clerk, $50/hr to the Contracting Company run by former staffers and lobbyists.

That's their minimum wage.

"I, crazy bitch from Saudi Arabia, solemnly swear that I will follow the laws of the United States of America."

Hard to believe that didn't work. And it seemed like such a fool-proof plan.

There, I finished what you wanted to say.

You're welcome.

Empirical evidence has verified every time that violating the Constitution and setting up a police state does not in any way protect us from terrorism. In contrast doing a legal Google search would have saved us many times.

The entire point of the Patriot Act was not to catch terrorist, but rather to enforce laws with Unconstitutional means, particularly controversial sex and drug laws that should not exist in the first place. Bypassing the Constitution and selectively enforcing laws is the most effective way to punish people for their voting habits and political positions. That's why certain drugs, associated with certain groups, are illegal whereas far more dangerous ones are not. Pot, hippies and blacks use that, so lock them up. Oxycodone, that's used by Rush Limbaugh, drop the charges.

The War on Drugs is really The War on Voting. We should start calling it that.
