There's another version of this story floating on the internet.
Basically the establishment realizes that if it weren't for the suburbs and rural areas in America. Then all American would be fully reconditioned by now. And now the value of having a moral thought police as your Mayor.
Move all the cretins to the city so they can be subject to Bloomberg's draconian decrees. It whittles down independent resolve. If you tell people what they can and can't do. It may seem very petty to enact laws that dictate the amount of Kitchen fat and the size of fountain sodas. But after a few election cycles. You'll train some obedient voters.

They aren't happy with Trump no NOT at all. All of the Starbucks neighbors back in the urban areas are all down with the establishment likes of Bush and Clinton, then along comes Trump and his damned ole stupid gas guzzling constituents living out side the reach of the establishment Institutional endocrine.

Just say no to drugs. Get a job.

3   marcus   2016 Jan 28, 4:48pm

Didn't start teaching until I was middle aged. Had a couple previous careers, and countless "just a job" jobs. But this is by far the most real job I've ever had. Most difficult. Most gratifying. The idea that I could feel like a leech, rather than feel that this work is worthwhile service to my fellow man, is laughable beyond what you could possibly imagine (being the sociopath that you are). But keep on trying dimbulb.

It just goes to show how few people want to do the work to make their "home school" great. It takes a strong, dedicated PTA to turn a school around. Schools in poorer areas have done it. New York has had some impressive examples. Hellholes-turned-up-and-coming-neighborhoods have done it. But there are always people who just want to walk into an already good school and never think about why that school is the way it is. Many people think it's all about money and it isn't. When the community cares and focuses on solving the problem, the schools benefit. The neighborhoods that sit around waiting for someone else to fix their school never seem to get what they claim to want.

You want to do something worthwhile, go volunteer and give your services for FREE to the community, instead of being a leech.

Nah, you're a liberal/socialist, never happen.... you "deserve" what you're getting!

Surely you don't really think that teachers should work for free. Blaming the teachers for the waste is silly because they don't have any power to make the budget and funding decisions. Their are so many dishonest players in the mix causing all this stuff to skyrocket in price. But I suppose it's always easier to blame the person whom you have the relationship with... as opposed to blaming the faceless state education administrator making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, living in really NICE subsidized housing, and counting the days until he can enjoy his multi-million dollar pension.

Nobody who sucks on the tit of the public "feels like a leech", they all think they're doing God's work.

Im not a shrink, so I don't really know whether you are a sociopath or what kind of serious psychological problems cause you to be the way you are. But as I said, I know that whatever the exact label is, I know you can't have the slightest clue what it's like to be in my shoes, while I totally expect you judge me the way you do. At the same time though, on some level, I know that you know the truth. Just like I know that you have created hell for yourself. So my sympathy is real.

Maybe you could turn it around a little somehow by experimenting with different behavior. Maybe try out gratitude, or kindness, or smiling, I could think of others but those would be good place to start.

I've never sucked off of the tit of the public for income

So is it all government workers you disrespect ?

Soldiers ? Navy or Air force Pilots ? CIA operatives ? Cops ? FBI ? Public Defenders ? DAs ? Judges ? NSA ? College Professors ( Public Universities )? Researchers on govt grant's trying to find cures for diseases or next generation energy sources ? Mailmen ? Air Traffic controllers ? Parole Officers ? Prison Guards ? (in one of the remaining non-private prisons), etc..

OR is it mostly just teachers ?

Ironman says

I had to work in the private sector and make thinks happen for myself and family, without local government support.

While unlikely, it's possible that you are smart enough to know that it's the egotistical narcissist that thinks everyone should do life just like they did, thinking that otherwise they are a loser. (although I can tell you see yourself as a loser - otherwise you wouldn't have the compulsion to put me down for being a teacher). There are plenty of others that can't relate to being a teacher, or who don't even respect teachers all that much, but without needing to put it down. Only someone with extremely low self esteem behaves that way.As I said, I'm not without sympathy for you. But I do ignore you most of the time, to avoid this pointless bullshit.

funny thing is, here in the real world and not conservatard fantasy land, the better the public sector, the better the society.

Being born e.g. Norwegian, Danish, German, or Japanese is winning the birth lottery.

Being born American, Chinese, Somalian, etc, not-so-much.

Our public sector isn't terrible, but it's been under attack for all my life, and I'm no spring chicken.

I put you down because you don't belong in a classroom by yourself with a bunch of kids with your delusional, twisted, fucked up, clueless grasp of life and reality. Knowing that you're feeding those kids YOUR version of the world and reality, as twisted as it is, is such a dis-service to their personal growth.

There are a lot of good teachers in the world... unfortunately, you ain't one of them.

The fact that you get paid by the public to spew your delusional crap to these kids daily, is totally an injustice to the taxpayers and parents of these kids.

I teach Mathematics. Not sure you know what that is, but it has little to do with politics or my personal beliefs. It might help students with their logic and critical thinking skills, but for now, in my Math class, it's only as it pertains to matters that are not debatable in the slightest, by anyone. Someone may for example have an approach to proving a trigonometric identity, that's different than one that I show the class. That's great. I love it when they come up with an interesting way of thinking about something that I hadn't thought of in that moment. That means they are participating, and that they're in to it. That's what it's all about.

The kids are awesome. We get silly sometimes and have a little fun, but mostly it's about the Math. So I don't know what you could possibly be thinking.

Hope you're feeling better soon (because you seem to be very ill). Try to consider what I suggested.

Also, you probably would live longer with better health if you could have less hate, anger and fear in your life. Just a suggestion.

Yes, true. But somehow in their bubble, facts and truth are some kind of liberal conspiracy.

Interesting - are you having to teach the new 'core curriculum' ? What do you think of it?

Yes. Overall it's not the boogeyman right wing media make it out to be. Longer story though. It will be a transition for a while, before I even see incoming kids that came up with common core.

You HONESTLY think that people who bully do so due to low self esteem; Actually most people who bully do so suffer from no lack of self-esteem and actually have a very HIGH self-esteem.

Genghis Khan was a mean bully but since he impregnated 1000s of women, I guess that was due to low self-esteem also.

marcus says

14   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Jan 29, 4:14pm

Yeah, they did new research on this and the low self-esteem is an outdated idea based on weak data. Bullies don't have low self-esteem, but they are terrified of "Shame".

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/intense-emotions-and-strong-feelings/201010/do-bullies-really-have-low-self-esteem
http://news.nationalpost.com/health/provocative-new-study-finds-bullies-have-highest-self-esteem-social-status-lowest-rates-of-depression

Which is why many bullies usually back down from somebody willing to fight back: Their risk tolerance for losing, even if small, is too high because of their fear of shame.

Also outdated: High self-esteem = success.

Many little Sarah Goldmans have low self-esteem, and grow up to be Doctors. Many little Shaniqua Browns have high self-esteem and go on to get knocked up at 16 with 4 kids by 25, on welfare.

Kids walk to school?

16   Ceffer   2016 Jan 29, 5:18pm

A truly liberal high school would have vending machines dispensing crack cocaine, burner phones and ammo. They would include nurseries so that girls could start collecting their first child support checks at 13.

If the little fat fucks can't run fast enough from the gang bangers, they need the exercise, anyway, and it's better survival training than a wilderness program in Alaska grizzly country.
