These are the only non smiling ones I have.. can't help it. I like to smile. Even the non smiling ones are sort of smiling.
I may sleep in this tonight. Other than the oppression of the time, you have to hand it to them... the fashion for women was spectacular.
Incidentally, if your wife/partner needs to borrow a costume... I'm a treasure trove. Been collecting for decades.
Yup, it rocks, Turtle, that's some real Halloween style.
Just don't let anybody wear a sheet this year, they might get blown away as a jihadi.
Nooo, stop it! I was just daring you. Smiles hide wrinkles. My sincere apologies (you look ok tough).

And I thought you were aiming for authenticity of period portraiture. Smiling in pics just wasn't done in those days. Probably to hide the teeth.

Long exposure times => hard to maintain a smile?
My impression is that smiling in pictures, especially portraits, is an American thing.
Here's my costume. I'm not smiling either. I plan on wearing this to the meet-up.
Just bumping this thread as a reminder to those of you who are interested in coming that we are a little more than a month out, so MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

I've had a blast this week with the election. You all are priceless! Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Is it ok if I wear my Make America Great Again thong?
===============
And now that will be required.
At least we'll recognize you right away.
I don't like anyone on patnet. Why would I want to meet them in person?
We Bad! We Bad!

We'll change your mind.
Me, too. The gravity of which held great weight here in CA, no doubt.
Any of you boys and girls voted for the winner?
Being in California I don't think any hardly anything or anyone I voted for passed. The only one is the requirement to post items passed by the state houses to be posted on the Internet.
Drain the potheads dry. I totally voted for legalization for that reason and to stop with law enforcement focusing on it.
You didn't vote for pot legalization?
No. I dislike the states passing stuff thats against Federal Law. My quirk. I actually believe all drugs should be legalized, or at least laws against should be unenforced. But I think going from the bottom up is the wrong way to do it.
Daddy says Why not take the blue pill, tuck everyone in their pod, and fill it with liquid heroin? Streamline the process

It was always legal just didn't get caught. Now it's too powerful and it's more easily accessible than ever, there's a lot of downsides to this. The Plus side is and would only be making it legal would put a lot of bad people out of dangerous criminal business and make honest productive citizens out of them. But I think it was better and people were better off when it was hassle to get. And if you had a regular weedman you had to hang out at his house while he rolled huge taters out of your bag, before you could split. Because of the traffic optics, he didn't want any in and out. Or off the street, which I never did.

Several people have expressed interest in a Southern California meet-up. If this is anything like the one last summer in SF, it will be a lot of fun. And maybe we can convince some of our Bay Area friends and out-of-staters to join us. Any suggestions on a place?
