Like a typical man, I deal with grief by trying to be useful. So in that spirit, Facebook does allow family members to close or memorize accounts of deceased users. A user can also specify what should happen to his account after his death. Here are the links.

Special Request for Deceased Person's Account
My sincere condolences to the family. I will take a shot of hennessy for memory. RIP.
Interested what this "home accident" was that ended up being fatal.
I guess I watch too much Information Discovery, but I hope this doesn't turn out to be something only disguised as an "accident", as tragic as it is already.
Did she piss off Hillary?
I hope She's really alive and well, She's just ditching us because her social experiment to bring us altogether as one big huge homogeneous family failed.
That will teach her!
This is patnet,we'll be having none of that.

Who would bother with wasting time with patnetters?
PN's are a threat to themselves! lol
I lost my father when I was only 14 and for several years I was terrified my mother was going to die of a brain tumor as she had headaches all the time--as it was she lived to be 94.
My mother left my abusive, drunk, trash father when I was 12.He died when I was 14.
Mama lived to be 92.
If he was alive today I would slap the stupid out of him. I'll do it when I meet him in HELL.
Time to major troll.
Anyone that has used or uses alcohol is weak minded fool.
Alcohol should be classified as a Schedule +1 drug calling for immediate execution for
anyone that has anything to do with it. Pick up a wine bottle,YOU DIE,NOW!
Time to roll one!

:(
She was a damned fine Patriot and a Classy Woman. My deepest heart felt condolences to her Family. If she profoundly touched me as much as she did, by making me sob and weep like a baby upon this terrible news. I can't imagine what they must be going through, after having the privlege to live with such a fine person day in an day out. For that person to now be gone from their life.
Her husband told that she had chronic migraines which kept her up, and fell down the stairs early Sunday morning.
That's terrible. Such a trivial thing that could end someone's life in seconds.
Amazing that she had such an impact on so many of us who didn't even meet her in person. It goes to show what kind of a person she was, and I can't imagine the suffering of those who were very close to her.
Her husband told that she had chronic migraines which kept her up, and fell down the stairs early Sunday morning.
This is so sad. I feel very sorry for her. She deserved living a long life. I only met her that one time but I believe she was a righteous and very thoughtful woman. She cared. We had some long conversations by email and by phone, about all kinds of things.
My thoughts are with her husband and children, a boy and girl aged twelve. I think the children are a credit to Turtledove and her husband. They are well-mannered and good kids, just as one would expect. I hope you all know that many people are thinking about you today. You do not have to do anything, just know that we are.

So tragic. I knew someone who died young because they had an issue that kept them up at night, and ended up on an accident supposedly because if it (it was a bicycle accident where they ran a red light on a steep downhill through an intersection, blamed on them not being awake enough to do better).
So who is going to write the story from PatNet's perspective? Could be one of Oprah's favorite things.
Looking for memorial information, if anyone knows the day I'd appreciate being told. I don't want to bother her husband.
There is no news about her death that I can find:
https://www.google.com/#q=susann+sills&tbm=nws
You'd think there would at least be a mention in some newspaper.
She was living in San Clemente, CA, which is in Orange County.
Maybe that will help narrow things down.
No obituary at http://obits.ocregister.com/obituaries/orangecounty/obituary-search.aspx?affiliateId=591&lastname=sills&stateid=7
You'll probably have to ask her husband after all, or maybe some Facebook friends you have in common.
UNIFORMLY warm, humane comments.
That's it! This is patnet. We'll not be a'havin none of that.
IT'S ON.
Hope you all DIE! I'll be at the cemetery to shit on your grave.
If you are cremated,I'll shit in your urn!
Finally back to normal.

We've been troll punked?
I'm so sorry to hear of her passing so early in life, health care system in this country sucks.

regarding the obituary, I didn't see anything as yet on her status

Exactly what's the treatment for migraines outside the US that works so great.

Or stairs.
Damn, I suddenly developed a fear of stairs (Bathmophobia? Climacophobia?).
I really don't understand how some of you can make jokes about this.
Assholes.
1. I truly miss turtlelove, she appreciated my jokes
2. This is really affecting me
My deepest condolences to her family. It's a tragedy for many of us.
I remain dismayed by the tragic loss of a true favorite on PatNet. Almost everyone liked her, and everyone should have.
I don't know whether a hospital had a role in what happened, but hospitals injure a substantial percentage of patients, and "medical misadventure" is now the third leading cause of death in the USA. If a hospital robbed us of Turtledove, I hope accountability will follow. Just to be safe though, I should remind the second amendment people to let the legal process take its course. Worst case scenario, when cannibal anarchy reaches San Clemente, AF/DBOAPD can serve up the hospital board for dinner, with yams and fava beans and a nice chianti.
Condolences to the turtledove family. Long time lurker and loved her contributions.
That said, I'm gonna go into Gary territory.
I know Patrick mentioned that her husband had said she was suffering from migraine headaches. I would presume that she (or at her husbands request being a doctor) would have looked into this. MMR in his OP stated she requested her husband email him on her deathbed regarding his family situation. From the other responses it sounds like she fell down the stairs. I get there's randomness in the world, but I have a hard time believing someone of her age sustained life threatening injuries from falling down the stairs. It's possible no doubt, but now knowing the public turtledove, is there more to this?
Watch the video below. There's clearly a disagreement about Effuse being a safe and effective permanent birth control method... with Bayer doctors. Turtledove had mentioned in previous posts how they were one of the few that could effectively remove the device. They obviously provided other medical procedures for fertility, but it just seems fishy to me.

The Bayer site for Effuse says they've implanted 750,000 plus women with this thing. Basically, between doctors and Bayer, this is a BILLION dollar baby for them. What I'm getting at is it might be to risky to go after the doctor. Maybe send a warning signal without raising too many red flags. I just find it hard to believe that someone as young as she was could sustain life threatening injuries falling down the stairs. Not sure how and/or why someone could do something to cause this, just my crazy brain kicking in.
Before it gets confused, I'm blaming "dark" pharma for this and not any family member.
Gary rant over.
I assume the theory above is grasping at straws. I truly wish the family of turtledove the best considering the circumstances. Absolutely a phenomenal mind and she will be missed here at patnet. If anyone hears of a place to donate something or send something, please post it here.

yep, me too. such a fall would be so entirely disgusting that i am having trouble believing that internet user MMR was emailed about it the very next day.
What ever, She has the right to a classy send off, even if She is only Internet dead.
Show some respect.
I am a personal friend Susann's. She did indeed tragically pass away. She was a wonderful, caring, intelligent person and our world was better with her in it. I came across this site searching for possible arrangements on the internet. I decided to comment since there seemed to be some debate about her passing. I only wish it were a hoax. I will miss her laughter, our long talks and our enduring friendship. RIP Susann Sills 1971-2016

I just heard some extremely sad news that turtledove passed away recently, quite possibly over weekend. Had been in touch with her regarding a family issue and I got an email from her husband today indicating that she had passed away before I had a chance to reply . I am not privy to any other details.
Was very thoughtful of her husband to contact me, given his level of grief and work responsibilities in light of the bad news. She was a kind generous person who asked her husband to reach out to me on deathbed to meet up and discuss our case with us.
Personally, I'm in shock, as it seems to have happened this past Saturday or Sunday.
