Will they transform it into leftie vision??

No. If that were the case the entire SouthEast would be a leftie stronghold long ago. People who leave Blue states for the south tend to be Republicans.

Cities are already 'leftie' and have been for a while. Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio

The ones leaving tend to have more sense than the ones who stay. C'mon, even lefties know you don't mess with Texas.

An easy way to tell is check the hipster ratio for the state. If it's gone up, Austin.

6   fdhfoiehfeoi   2017 Jan 9, 4:56pm

any hipster ratio can be roughly calculated off sales of:
beard oil and trimming scissors
craft beer
thick black rimmed glasses

I'm sure someone has an algorithm for this already.

If you have to ask this question, you never lived there.

I went to Austin a few times last year. Really cool city at first, and yes, they have great food. Reminded me a lot of the west coast in terms of culture/laid backness. I like how cycling friendly it appears and the fitness scene.

However, my second week there, it was apparent that it was nothing more than a wanna be Santa Cruz"ish" scene. Too many hipster/junky wanna be's and homeless people wandering the streets with nothing to do, except badge people for cash. The entitlement mentality in this city is strong.

Isn't Texass a Socialist state with all the Republican individuals & businesses on some form of govt. teat sucking?
I noticed Republicans enjoy the interstate hwy. system paid for by 49 other states.
How many Republican Socialist have held jobs paid for thru Federal tax dollars?
They want low taxes but beg for Federal funds when they can't pay their own way.

I actually like Austin. That being said, the "San Francisozation" is already in full effect. People over there actually think SF is cool.
14   MAGA   2018 Nov 16, 5:50pm

Austin is pretty wacko. All the Universities are breeding grounds for the far left.

More are coming to Houston/Sugarland than to Austin. This sucks badly, because they bring their voting habits here and if CA keeps driving away their middle class, we will turn into CA with crappy climate.

Houston and Dallas suburbs are starting to vote D instead of R due to transplants from CA and other failed loser states they ran away from

Sometimes prevailing culture can change people. I remember when I was in school for a couple of years in the South, a ball busting feminist from Stanford came into the scene. She wasn't bad looking, just what you would expect from the standard models of pointless aggression, self righteousness and surly, sodden, solipsistic preaching. She could not get a date if she paid for a limousine to pick the guy up to pork her.

She actually softened noticably over two years, began feminizing herself and wearing makeup. She fell in love with the area, got a job and worked there, and never wanted to return to California. Whether she ever got a boyfriend or not, I don't know.

That works when that person doesn't have another 50 people around her promoting her ideas. That's the problem we have in CA with illegals. They come in giant groups, settle in neighborhoods where everyone is like minded, and instead of trying to become American, they try to change America to their culture. It's crazy.

Looking at a red/blue map of Texas, it looks like the invasion from south of the border is the main problem.

I know, right? Those fucking filthy Irish are a scourge. Someone needs to contact Bill the Butcher and get them the FUCK out of the Five Points.

South TX has been Hispanic long before Texas was in US of A, and ca. 60% of TX Hispanics vote D. Change in voting patterns in few last years are as follows: some Houston and Dallas suburbs flipped from R to D - nothing to do with Hispanics as these are places where Clownifornians settle, and a few districts with lots of Hispanics have flipped from D to R, such as Texas senate District 19, which is 66% Hispanic and straddles a huge portion of border with Mexico (https://www.texastribune.org/directory/districts/tx-senate/19/). I think it was even gerrymandered by our fearless TX legislature to contain as many Hispanics as possible, but it flipped nevertheless.

May be I am wrong, but it appears that TX Hispanics are moving to right in their voting patterns - economy here is doing well, and they are culturally very conservative. In a sense invasion from North and not from South changes voting patterns here.

This describes transplants from CA settled in TX more than any other newcomers. They come to barbaric TX and have to bring culture, sophistication, and refinement to the land of fucking worthless rednecks.

It's still legal in Delaware.
Oddly enough, open containers are illegal on the AC boardwalk (although not enforced, possibly legal on some parts of it), and legal on the beach.
