I can be as cynical as the next person. Sometimes such a preference reeks of corruption. Other times it's more about corporations having a sense of their their civic responsibilities, and their backing a candidate decided by committee, backing someone they simply prefer as being best for America, as opposed to being best only for their self interest. As long as the former is not in opposition to the latter.
