Nothing nadda, Zip, Zilch, not one damn show.
The same goes for modern pop music and some classic Rock songs where idiots like Roger Waters meddled in the election.
In fact I deleted every Floyd song I have during the 2016 election.
Along with Springsteen, Metalica, and several others.

I took Dylan out of the dustbin and dusted his stuff off. His snubbing the NOBEL idiots for 6 months was classic.
Then when he finally accepted it, he trolled them by saying he was better than Shakespeare. To which the idiot Left gushed over.
That was not the response Bob was looking for, he was trying to gauge the caliber of the idiots giving him an award for Literature when he was folk song writer.

Seinfeld

I liked it too but I never "longed" to watch it.

Seinfeld

I hated Seinfeld, and Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, and Saved By the Bell, and I had roommates in college that liked them all. I could appreciate The Simpsons, in the 1990s. When that went to shit, and I moved out on my own, I had no reason to own a television. Nova had become garbage, Frontline was producing propaganda bullshit, I think. Robert MacNeil left the NewsHour (the MacNeil/Lehrer Report) and MacNeil was just not impressive, the X-Files was fun and conspiratorial but that was my first experience of a television show building up to this BIG THING, that went nowhere - I saw many people go through that with Lost, that was predictable.

It's just a time waster. I goddamned hate television, but my favorite episode is "Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming" in the Simpsons, in that Sideshow Bob steals a nuclear weapon and threatens to set it off unless all television is forbidden in Springfield. For a short time, it is, and the children come out to play, a community starts being built, but Krusty the Clown ruins it all. That was basically where the series should have ended. That would have been the best finale of a television show ever. The Simpsons should have ended on that episode, and it has for me. It was a biting satire. That episode is a condemnation of television on television. What balls the writers had to make that.

If I could destroy all television, I would. If I could destroy video on the Internet, and every movie theater, I would. I'd force the population to have some sort of entertainment other than sitting in front of a glowing box having a bunch of bullshit fed to them. People on television do NOT act like real human beings, real human beings APE the behavior they see in front of the glowing box. I went from a movie buff, to hating film. "We're all going to die from COVID!!!" - who told you that? That fucking box did.

Oh no, you'd have to talk to your family, with your neighbor, with your community. You might have differences, but you could talk. I would eliminate fiction and escapism. I'm pretty certain when there was no escapism, you'd see the real problems, and eliminate the problems. Fiction is a drug.

It's a nice thought, but a bird won't land on your finger until you spend at least a few days, if not weeks, or months, proving you can be trusted.

I had some sort of bird, I think a sparrow, land on my shoulder. I freaked out because it sounded like a huge insect with its tiny flapping wings, and was heavy and I reflexively brushed it off in a panic. I wish I had better wits about me - if it was a giant insect, it couldn't really harm me, it was just a naive bird. I regret my instincts over-rode my intellect. It could have been a good moment. At least I didn't harm it.

There is something about Mary.

Obviously film is opinion, but I literally dislike every actor in that. Stiller is ehh.... Cameron Diaz is awful. She's one of those actresses that clearly fucked her way to the top for that short period.

Sandler is annoying and has little talent. He was not good enough to be even on Saturday Night Live.

That is the point of his comedy. It's bad. Funny bad. Plus his squad of buddies that he throws in every movie are funny. I get how people might not like him, but $3B in box office sales is a pretty big deal. https://www.the-numbers.com/person/126870401-Adam-Sandler#tab=summary

He'll likely be a billionaire by the time he dies. His movies are made for the middle aged male and sell well. Those that have money.

Family Guy and South Park are better than the Simpsons in my opinion. Never got into the Simpsons. Southbound and Down was decent. I know people don't like Will Ferrell that much, but his improvising is top notch. Just saying random shit that's not scripted.
21   PeopleUnited   2024 May 8, 5:17am

Sandler is popular, and plenty of people enjoy his work.

I thought his silly songs like lunch ladyland and Hanukkah were funny. Good writing and fairly good acting performance. Actually his characters seem to be a portion of himself.

I prefer Bill Murray, who I feel is a better actor even if he comes off as arrogant in some ways.

And Kelsey Gramer, he comes off as arrogant too, but his self deprecating humor is near perfect.

But perhaps the most natural comedian of late is Eddie Murphy. Beverly Hills Cop was a masterpiece mixing comedy, action and even some racial tension in a tidy entertaining package.

He was also amazing in Trading Places which was another classic.

But of course they'll be tranny or gay.

I have not seen Chinese cinema but is it true that even Chinese movies are going transvestite and ghey?

With the current shortage of weemenz in Chyna they have no choice. 👹

Anthony Jeselnik is the only comedian I like.
24   GNL   2024 May 8, 10:45am

No.

Pedo Dizzey didn't even bother to try to put Strange World in China because they knew it would never be allowed because one of the principle characters was a kid, and gay.

I have seen several recent Chinese Fantasy and Historical dramas, where a few of the main characters are in drag and few others have very effeminates features. They don't write their lifestyle so much into the story in great detail like our movies are doing. But they are there, they don't flip the antagonist and the victim roles like Hollywood is doing. They don't have dykes generals yet, but they are getting there. Every drama and mellow dramas also has gay characters. Again, there's not muchado about their lifestyle but they are there.

Deadpool/Wolverine wasn't bad
33   steverbeaver   2024 Aug 7, 2:05am

I heard that DP/WV just didn't go woke. OMG who'd a thunk it to be successful.

I heard the CrazyTown dude died a while back. Found this gem on it:
"Come my janny,
Come, Come my janny,
You're my shabbos goy,
Nigger, Tranny"

Couldn't stop laughing at the ActBlue tards.

I recommend the latest Mad Max movie - it was surprisingly entertaining. The chick that plays Furiousa (same girl that starred in 'the queen's gambit') looks like an alien - her eyes are so far apart and huge for her tiny head. She plays 'pissed off' well. Other than 'strong woman' I didn't detect any woke BS but then again I'm not looking to be offended.

A chick playing the Testosterone part is Woke BS. I'm not looking to be offended either, but it doesn't stop the Liberal Woke Filth in Hollywood from doing so.

"What are you doing!?"

"I'm trying to talk to you, you know, now since I destroyed all of the televisions and videos."

"Well text me, you caveman!"

The newest Mad Max Fury Road was one of the worst movies I've ever watched. I don't watch a ton of movies but it was beyond awful.

I like comedic movies. I don't care if they're bad from an acting or "artistic" aspect as long as they make me laugh. Mad Max was just pure CGI and over edited bull shit. Only thing I appreciated was the audio mix from Mad Max.

Comedy movies have to be funny or they bust. I'm not looking for a Saving Private Ryan type movie. I don't really care for drama or violence. Horror films are actually kind of funny in a way. Fun bad. Find myself laughing more than being "frightened" by them.

I didn't bother after seeing the previews. The woke lead is actually a talented actress. She was awesome in The Queen's Gambit. But woke crap even hurts the DEI casting it is meant to 'help', as MMF proves.

I guess? Never seen Theron in a movie I liked. Admittedly I watch few movies. Mad Max was just chaos the entire time and not really acting. It was like giving meathead body builders more steroids and allowing them to produce and direct a movie. Nothing clever about it. Rehashed movie which is all Hollywood can do now. Nothing original. Classic shitty reboot/sequel.

Streamed series are the best bet now. I don't know how movie theaters are in business still. With basic skills and $1,500 you can build your own home theater. Pause when you want to get a snack or beer. I'll take my 110" screen and my surround sound 10 out of 10 times before jumping in a car and dropping $80 at least taking the family to a movie. One movie a month is $1k/yr basically with gas for driving included. Fuck that.
39   Ceffer   2024 Aug 7, 10:50am

I'm perverted enough to have enjoyed the 'Mad Max' computer game. Very Aussie. Firing a hooked chain to drag around the bald headed snorting freakers trying to kill me was strange entertainment.

I am watching Magic City. Only had two short seasons. Entire time I watched it I am thinking, "They couldn't make this today." It's a period show in 1959 Miami. 90% white ppl.

I actually found PBS has the best programming including television series like All Creatures Big and Small and Father Brown , as well as news and documentaries (i.e., NOVA, nature, POV, Frontline, PBS News Hour, etc).

Vikings was a good TV series recently.

Bonus points for the lefties hating it and calling it "conservative propaganda", hypocritically ignoring the fact that 95 of all media these days seems to be lefty propaganda.

The previews seem make it seem like a non woke, funny classic movie. Hope it holds up.
