North side? That's where the richer people live. Seems like the government is protecting the rich from the poor as usual. Anyone riding the L from South to North will be checked for weapons and drugs. If they were conducting these checks at random stops in the South side, they'd be combating crime. This just looks like crime prevention to me.
This is what you get when some toad named raul doesn't enforce existing laws and people are being slaughtered in record numbers in chicago.
Or would you just like to keep the status quo and let em die?
Anyone who thought civil liberties were bad under Obama had better wake up.

Did you read the article? DHS is the new police force? If they are protecting the "rich" as you say, then why were they checking the bags of the people who got on the el at Addison? Those are the "rich" in your view. Really Addison is the stop right next to Wrigley Field so, while it is a nice neighborhood, it's mostly younger folks. Not super rich.

Anyone who thought civil liberties were bad under Obama had better wake up. Those 8 years will seem like a libertarian dreamworld compared to what's coming under Trump.
