Has been a point of contention with all American womyn. Europeans and others are right in this case that most Americans have succumbed to stupid hallmark holidays to derive their self worth from. Social media only made it worse. Everywhere else you take your mom out for a coffee or call her and say thanks for all that you did for me and that's it.
